Dream started with me being in a store like Walmart. I was looking for DVDs, but more specifically, I was looking for series box sets (anime box sets).
I went to the section marked for it, and looked around. There were no DVDs, just a bunch of magazines and the like. I kept looking. I found a Cowboy Bebop box set sitting on a shelf, as if someone had just left it there. I asked the person working the area where the DVDs were, and he told me they were "just over there" or something, and pointed to an isle nearby.
I looked. They weren't there.
I came back, and the other guy had gone on break or something, as there was a new guy who came up to run the desk. I bitched at him about how the "DVD section" had nothing but "this magazine crap and whatever", and the guy told me that it was a common mistake that this was supposed to be the DVD section or something, and that it was actually waaayy over somewhere else, in the direction that the other guy pointed, but I just didn't go far enough or something.
So I walked to the place, and there were the DVDs.
*strange dream transition imminent*
I look to my left and notice a small stand with a couple asian people selling these roll like things that were supposedly sweet (sweet rolls, yeah, haha, I get it. stfu.)
I then gain the knowledge that I prepared the dough/recipe for them, and that these people were just cooking and selling them (this was clearly a branch off from reality, because I had made cookies the previous day with the same ingredients. Cinnamon/cloves, chocolate chips, and brown sugar/white sugar). I ended up liking the cinnamon/clove equivelant rolls.
I am now standing in an asian festival, somewhere in Asia, because I'm visiting a friend or something. The stand selling the rolls was still there, but the DVDs and walmart were gone. My friend, who is now with me, who I don't know in real life, and I walk around and look at the food stalls. The stalls reminded me of the renaissance festival ones we have over here, on account of the fact that they were large and obviously permanent wooden structures.
Regardless.
We stopped and were going to eat at one. I asked him to hold on for a second while I take my retainer out (I wear one when I sleep, so this was a little amusing, since my dream acknowledged that I was wearing one in real life, but not that I wouldn't be wearing one during the day, since my dream took place in the daytime). My friend was surprised and intrigued by the retainer for some reason.
There was an older asian man sitting at this little table in the corner at the entrance to the stall, with a little sign and jar. My friend explained that we were supposed to tip the stall/this guy before we went in (to ensure that the workers got a tip). For some reason, my arms were full, so I asked if I could tip when I left instead. My friend translated. The guy reluctantly accepted.
We ate something, and left. I was about the reach into my wallet for a 20, but then realized that I'm running out of money. So I was about to grab a 10. Paused. Grabbed a 5, and handed the man a 5. We left.
I later realized that I forgot my retainer at the stall. We went back, and it was gone. We asked the server/chef/owner if he had seen it. He had, and had kept it in case we returned.
He hands me the top half, and the dream fades out
