It almost appeared as if the man was getting shorter, but nobody noticed. Plus, his body was still the right size. Nosro sat back and scanned the rest of the group, ready to assist if any trouble came at hand. This would take time.

Conani gulped and bit her lip hard enough for a little trickle of blood to crawl down her lip. Her pupils narrowed, and dryly, she lied. "I do not know them. How unfortunate."

"That's a pity, as they seem to know you. Oh well, dead strangers I suppose. As for you all I suppose you take me as a fool." the man's minor change reverts to normal,"Too bad I'm no fool, but it seems your friend over there likes our side more, so what do you say boy, care to join?"

Hundreds of years of erosion in seconds. Nosro thought as the man was now waist deep in mud, still not noticing.

Soon he will join our people.

Zentaku now has walked within about a foot of the man: "you know it isn't polite to ignore people, but I guess that doesn't matter with a strong body like yours does it?"

Conani clasped her hands together in a dry motion. She hated this man for killing all these people. She hated him for taking pleasure in doing it. And she hated him for shrugging it off so lightly.

She hated men who hate life.

She took a step forward, and another, but she didn't say anything. The look in her eyes was dead. She was serious.

"I bet you feel proud, huh Norso?" The man raises from the mud on a throne of bones,"But I'm far to old to fall for that."

She looked back at Smax and gave him one single nod. Then she put her head down and waited.

"Graveyard. Nice." Nosro said.
"I'd better stand back and recede now, right?" He said, backing away.
"After all, you've won." He said, watching the fog carefully and sitting back.

The man was stretching at this point on his throne, unaware of Smax's attack.

You strike the man at an angle, hitting his shoulder as the man and part of his throne split away. The man's head rolls to the side as he body flops to the ground. The bone throne then slowly recedes back into the ground.

You begin to hear laughter. It's a pretty weak and hoarse laughter, but it seemed to come from the severed head.

"Aah you people never learn..." the head replied as it started to sink into the mud,"You cannot kill what is already dead..." At this point the head was enveloped by the mud. You then notice to your surprise that the body is gone as well.

Nosro assumed that the head sank in the eroded mud, and didn't have time to check. He took another look at his surroundings, trying to find civilization.

Zentaku: "death is an obstacle that all things have even the undead they shall perish as well and degrade to dust for that is the way life is... He shall know his end once more."

Directly in front of them his head bursts from the mud, his head on stacks of spines."So children, have you guessed it yet?"

"It is better when the dead see life, but not when they see pseudolife. Death is no obstacle, as long as you have the proper means to detour." Nosro said, continuing to walk with the others.
"Hey, all I wanted was directions." Nosro said, using turn undead. The fog drifted over the head, and only then, did Nosro realize this guy didn't have organs. Blisters worked too.

Conani blinked and gave herself a dry congratulation that she didn't do anything stupid that would mess these things up. Deep inside, she strove for simplicity. Which was, of course, why she chose to live underground.

For one, there is no pesky outside to bother you. Well, she was mistaken. For here she was, outside.

She peered a curious eye over to the head, and took a cautious step backwards.
