Name Changes

It's been a while since the no-name-changes rule was ham-fistedly put into place and enforced by your one and only Hinaoki, but after some thought and desire to change my name I've come to the conclusion that it's been 4 fucking years and our internet identities or whatever have already changed probably multiple times and so it seems kinda pointless to keep relics of our beginnings here.

Furthermore I am convinced the rule only really punishes those who are too shy to ask me for a change because if someone asked and whined hard enough usually they'd receive one. Plus it was a hassle for me to deal with.

So I've allowed name changes starting now. My only request is please, pretty please pinky promise and all that stuff that you'll be intelligent enough to judge the frequency and intensity at which you change it.

I think we could use some "moderated" name change? Like: "Once per month you may change your nickname" Or something like that...

You know I know how to turn that feature off per user correct Razz

? And the moderation is simple. We have a big enough team that if someone is being dumb they get the privilege taken away.

It would be a smart idea if the forum engine actually supported it, which it doesn't.

It's ok though I find it sort of condescending to assume people have a brain the size of a pea and can't make choices for themselves anyway so I think it's ok this way. And as Bestie (cough Umbralpha) mentioned since it can be disabled on a user-to-user basis those who do have a brain the size of a pea can be restricted for it.

Lol, sorry for the instant change. Been meaning to for awhile and you only just reminded me XD But I don't care what you continue to call me, this is just the user I've been using as of late. So as to help me log in easier I just switched over lol

I dislike when forums keeps us from changing our names... IDK, after a while the old name starts to get boring, and it bothers...

Edit: Well, I know the phpBB format~ And I know you could disable it for everyone, but make the name change moderated by making an "Change name request thread" or something like that, so the users can go there and ask it to be changed. And then you can make the 1 change per month thing~
