| Playing the first one straight would make for a far more interesting character as a whole, too, in my opinion.
second option is too common and almost expected because a person's normal response to being correlated with something they didn't choose is to reject any connection to it. so why the stereotype has basis in reality, it's also, well, boring.

| depending on the answers i get, this may end up going in the Alpha Sorcery tag:
If you put a bunch of warmonger, warlords, and other assorted war criminals in a prison together, what do you think would happen?

| GENERAL DISCUSSION QUESTION!!
in your opinion, what is the lamest super power you could get from Umbra's list? (for reference, this is a question of, if you were a developing Epsilon participant, and your power were randomly rolled for you, what is the worst power that you could get after having payed with that life-threatening negative?)
Conversely, what would be your pick for winning the super power lottery (getting the best power/least negative? in this case i am thinking in particular of physical powers, but don't let me distract you from the awesome)

| A thought occurs to me: Does it actually cross the minds of the severely religious that some people have had really bad experiences with religion and everything associated with it, and don’t associate with a given church or religion not because they hate God (or any god) or worship a Satanic figure, but simply because they have nothing but bad experiences with it?
Because sadly, I don’t think they do…

| Do you think the villains in any/all superheroes' rogues gallery ever sit down and think to themselves, 'why the hell am i still doing this'?

| In the case where they are evil FOR DA EEEBILZ, then yeah they probably do.
In particularly great works, the villain often has a moment of revelation and horror at what they have done.
In other works, the villain never has such an epiphany, because they are the hero of their own perspective.

| I was really more talking in the case of,
they've been fighting the hero for literally years, they've sunk so much of their time, energy, and resources into an ongoing battle with a guy who runs around in spandex
and one day they just sit down at their desk, look over their finances, stare through a wall, and start thinking to themselves, 'this is fucking stupid. why am i still doing this? I am literally accomplishing nothing here. he's never going away, i'm not making any gains here- hell, I'm not eve a legit businessman anymore. I've literally wasted my time and fortune trying to send this guy to hell, and For What?! What do I honestly have to gain from this anymore?!
...you know what, fuck it. Starting tomorrow, I'm going back to the fucking stock exchange. -be better for my heart, too...'

| Have any of you ever had a type of treat that you thought you would love, that turned out to be complete shit? Inversely, was there ever a treat you thought you would hate, but ended up trying out of curiosity and you loved it?
example: I was, am, and always will be a chocaholic; thusly, when i was a kid i thought that i would adore 3 Musketeers. I mean, chocolate filled with more, fluffier chocolate; what's not to love? Even now, all i can taste is disappointment
by contrast, for years i thought that Snickers were all hype, but then i went and tried one just because i was hungry, and they are actually one of my favorite candy bars these days

| I am curious: what is 'normal time' for you guys?
as in: when is it normal for you to wake up? when is it normal for you to go to bed? just a weird brain-thought i had this morning, because I notice that even if i stay up late, I consciously want to get up at what I regard as a 'normal time', which means for me i usually want to be up by around 8 o'clock, and if i wake up later than that I A) feel really out of sorts and B) feel like shit because i feel like that is time wasted

| For the most part, 'normal time' for me is about 12:00 PM (Noon) to 3:00 AM. I feel the urge to get up at noon specifically for some unknown reason, even if I want to sleep more. And 3:00 AM is actually a little bit late, whereas 2:00 AM is a little closer to 'normal'.
However, more recently I've made a conscious effort to change that, since it doesn't make much sense to me for me to have to get up at Noon. And well, since Tim's schedule has changed so that we're able to hang out more in the earlier hours, my 'normal time' has shifted to about 1:00-2:00 PM to 5:00-6:00 AM more recently.

| Anybody else have a game that they used to love but is now completely unplayable? either because the servers got shut down or because the game is so old that it won't run on newer machines or something?
Mine would probably be Thirst of Night, an MMO by Kabam where you play as a vampire cabal trying to build an empire out of the remains of society. It was a really cool game, but it really pushed cash items, making it so that if you didn't go out and buy certain items you couldn't access higher-tier units and equipment. it was also really big on making you play every day. which i know is pretty common among mmo's, but this was from a time when i had very little computer access. this was made all the more annoying by the fact that the times for constructing buildings, training units, and traveling to and from objectives took fucking forever unless you used speed-boosting items, all of which cost cash
ToN enjoyed a slight reign for a while, but Kabam eventually shut the servers down back in January of 2013. RIP

| I find myself asking how Worm might have been different if the Locker had never happened, or had been forced to happen
I mean, Taylor was well-aware of the fact that her locker wasn't a safe place to keep things, even if the bullying had wound down a little bit. i would have thought losing her mother's flute would have convinced her to never deal with it again.
so what would have happened if she had just walked past her locker and gone on to class? would sophia have chased her down and forced her in? would they have come up with something else, like framing Taylor for doing so? who knows
