| I fell like I need to explain this poem a little more... it turned out cuter than I wanted, but I still feel like this explanation is necessary. So... for those of you who don't know... I battle depression, it comes in waves for me, so for a couple days at a time I will be really depressed, and fine the rest of the time. About a month, or a month and a half ago, I was going through one of these times, and I went for a walk, which led me to a cliff, which I almost jumped off of... the only reason I didn't jump.... well... read the poem...<3. So yeah, this is kind of from the heart.
Almost
I don't know how he knows,
but I don't question it.
That walk, that cliff,
what I almost did.
Tonight, he holds me
in his arms.
As if his embrace
keeps me safe from harm.
I wish I could tell him
the whole story.
What I was thinking
on the top of that quarry.
As I looked down below,
the note in my hand.
Sweet innocent boy,
he wouldn't understand.
Of all the reasons
I had to go.
The one that kept me,
was my loving beau.

| So, I think I need to rename this poem... but I don't know to what... the poem I started writing actually had nothing to do with this and that's where the title came from, looking at it now, it doesn't really fit. Suggestions? | |
