Fragility of the Mind (OOC)

Katja Schilling was born December 6th, 2021 to Alvin and Katrin Schilling in Frankfurt, Germany. Much of her childhood, her father was away, and when her mother passed away when she was six, Katja was placed into Monikahaus Orphanage in Frankfurt.

She only enjoyed a brief stay in the orphanage before being sent away to a secret facility somewhere in the US. She endured eight years of brutal experimentation that left her stronger, smarter, more resilient, but at the same time left her with a deadly condition that she couldn't cure but could manage.

Cerain she was going to die in the facilty deliverance came from someone kind and four others from the orphanage, one of which Udo Weber. They escaped and fled to the east coast determined to outrun Dr. Schilling and return to their home, but things turned sour when a suprise arrival by the doctor at the German Embassy in Atlanta, Georgia ended in blood shed and two of Udo's closest friends were killed.

Katja resigned to the term Vampire that day when she took revenge on her father, the doctor both responsible for the death of her mother and the experiments preformed on her and the others. Weak and desperate for sustanance, she pressed the man against the wall, and bit deep into his neck, the sick doctor relishing every last moment as his daughter fed on his life-force until life was no longer in him at all.

It was the bitter end of the beginning however. After being returned to Germany along with Udo and another survivor, Gabrielle, Katja as well as Gabbi, were faced with the uncertain and uneasy task of managing their blood-cravings, eventually choosing exile to avoid the slaughter of innocent people in the orphanage. Katja lived alone on the streets, scouring every slum and rundown suburb, in search of unassuming victims, people not likely to be missed; scum, vagabons, junkies, she searched for any she felt even remotely justified in slaughter, and before long she had become a device of twisted and one-sided judgement; delivering her own perception of justice for pure self-preservation and the desire to remain living.

Katja took her reluctant conviction to the States in an effort to search for a cure, a way to reverse her father's experiments. She's only been state-side for a few days, staying in Charlotte, North Carolina with a friend of a friend, an astranged ally, who had aided her once in escaping so many years ago.
