Fragility of the Mind

"I think he means the guy who can go underground." Yia says thinking of all the people he's seen and learned their names.

Striding towards the few who stayed, eager to fight, Nero rubbed the back of his head with his left hand and sheepishly asked, "Anybody mind if I tag along? I'm not too bad in a fight and I'll stay out of the way..."

What was first anger now turned into a guilt trip as Gabrielle shyed away from trying to go away. Instead of leaving, she stood with her feet planted to the ground, catching every single detail of the events that transpired so fast she could barely catch her breath.

Lance looked over to his antisocial girlfriend and asked, "Want me to drive you home, Gabrielle? Back to your apartment?" His car was parked a couple of blocks away, after all. He was afraid she was shocked or something like that.

Gabrielle shook her head. "I'm going out there to help, Lance." She looked into his eyes sadly. "Sorry. I'm going to have to ask you to go home."

He shrugged, used to it already. "Call me," he said as he left the concert grounds.

As for herself, Gab slowly creeped over to TK and the rest, kind of ashamed of herself for acting so irresponsibly. "Count me in as well," she cracked. "Gabrielle Goussand, token Frenchie."

Emir was sitting near the stage, cleaning his Bowie knife with his handkerchief and his Revolver on the ground. He kept thinking what the fuck happened there in the concert, and who are these people....He felt a large pain in his forehead, gnawing at him like a Honey Badger. This pain was the frustration that his sister is still alive, and he never knew it until now. He doubted it as soon as he left the apartment, when he was 13. Emir scoffed, probably not the right time to think about it, so he replied to Dante,

"We sit around and pass the bong."

Gabrielle didn't know if Emir was kidding or if he was serious. She decided that it didn't matter either way. "Man, I need some rest..." she complained hypocritically, even though she knew the others had the butt end of the stick. "I certainly didn't come back for this. How about we go chill someplace tomorrow once we're done doing whatever needs to be done? Please?"

Ariel listened to Ken's speech and made her decision.

"Hey, don't forget about me," she said. "I'm in this, too." Ariel grinned at her friends. She then glanced at Gabrielle and said, "I'll go somewhere with you if you would like."

"Course you would Ariel..." Emir said, getting out a cigarette and lighting it. "Want one, kid?" He asked Dante.

Gabrielle smiled. "Of course, Ariel. Someplace quiet. Maybe I'll show you my apartment." She sighed with satisfaction and felt the energy come back into her body. She was ready to fight again.

"So both of you would do some Lesbian Fun-Funs?" Emir asked both Gabrielle and Ariel, his cigarette dangling from his mouth as the smoke dissipates. "If so, I'll like to join."

"Get a sex change and maybe we could consider some 'Lesbian Fun-Funs'," Gabrielle chuckled. She wasn't honestly feeling like discussing her sex life like that, so she'd rather find refuge in audacity.

Emir shrugged, puffing smoke.

"Meh, too much money. Rather spend it on bullets and cigars if I can." He said, taking out his cigarette and puffing smoke circles.

Raine, quickly becoming bored with the whole sitaution, considered taking off for a while, to a club of some sort and indulging her senses with grinding hips, damp skin and ecstasy. She sort of dismissed the thought, shoving it to the back of her mind. She had gone a while without having a fix of something so she was feeling that slight tremble in her limbs but she fought against the need for a substance.

She looked at Emir though and a slow smile came to her face at seeing the cigarette in his hand.

"Mind if I steal one?" she inquired, holding out her hand, fingers poised as if to grab one.
