Fragility of the Mind

Yia smiled at his comment and opened the door to his room, which was next to Dante. He goes inside and gets some clothes for him and comes out and gives them to him. "Here, now go get dressed for Raine." He winks.

"Now go get the girl." Yia says happily pushing him out.

Gabrielle woke up in a familiar room. she remembered the night well, but somehow couldn't place it how she had gotten back into her apartment at least ten kilometers away from the club. Had she walked, or had she gotten on somebody's car?

She smirked. She also remembered her answer to Ariel's question before she decided to call it quits.

"Of course I am. There are always new things to discover and to be afraid of."

She rolled over in bed, realizing she hadn't even bothered taking her clothes off. She shrugged and went to her dusty kitchenette to prepare herself something.

Raine woke up with a start and she threw off the covers. She had sweated through the night and she cursed, her head pounded and she sniffled at how her dress was probably wrinkled beyond recognition. To her utter surprise though, well, not really, she discovered that her dress wasn't on and it was hanging on the back of a chair a little ways off from her.

Well then... Raine thought, with a inner chuckle. She looked down at her strapless bra and panties and shrugged, she had walked around with less back at home. She got up from the bed and made her way to the kitchen. She needed some coffee to give herself more energy.

Ariel called out to Raine when she noticed her leaving for the kitchen. She had spaced out so bad that she didn't even realize her friend woke up.

"Hey," she called, "Mind going back to the apartment and getting us some clothes?"

Raine paused from opening the freezer to see if there were any coffee grounds. She looked back at Ariel and shouted back at her, resuming her search until finding some. She opened a portal near Ariel.

"Yeah, sure, just get me a baggy sweater, my white tank top and my yoga pants. Pick what you want from the stuff." She got her coffee and got out the coffee maker. She scooped in a bunch of ground, poured in the same amount of water and waited for it to start.

It was quite chilly running around in nothing but her underwear but Raine just waited it out until Ariel came back with clothes. She then thought for a second before the woman went in.

"Oh, and get me my slippers!"

After a while Yia decided to wander through the base. He wandered into the Kitchen where Gabrielle and Ariel. He looked down and headed to the fridge and got a glass of milk. He didn't know these two very well. He sat a few feet away trying hard to not look at them.

Raine looked down at Yia from where he sat. She smirked.

"Mornin', squirt. You drink coffee?" The coffee maker beeped and Raine got excited. She got herself a mug after searching through the cupboards and poured sugar into it. She poured the coffee in and then the milk. She was glad there was no creamer, she despised the stuff.

Ariel nodded and shouted a thanks before stepping through the portal and back to their apartment in LA. She went to the closet and grabbed the clothes that Raine had requested. She then started looking through, trying to find something suitable for herself to wear. She found a pair of slightly torn black jeans, a grey long-sleeved shirt, and worn converse. She decided that she would wear that black jacket Raine allowed her to borrow from before.

Satisfied with her appearance, she went back through the portal and went to the kitchen. She threw the clothes at Raine, knowing that she would probably get dressed right then and there.
