The Limits of Devotion

"This should be fun." Ven smiles tosses the sword to his left hand and starts with fencing techniques.

Zentaku grabs his right arm (the one with the blade) with his left hand and tries to pull it away, yelling at himself, "You won't kill us! Yes I will and you have no where to go if I die so submit! Never I won't let you kill us! Yes you will I just decked us and don't think I fear death you sadistic freak! Never! I said submit!" his left arm lets go of his right and punches himself again then his stabs that arm in the upper half (where the bracer is no longer there) as the blade pierces his arm he yells, "AAAhhh you little bitch what are you doing to us! proving a damn point that I will kill us now submit damn it!" twisting the blade, "GAH I submit to you for now... but show weakness and I will crush you fool." with that Zentaku retraces the blade from his arm and stands up his left arm bleeding heavily and laying limp.

Zentaku says calmly, "I suppose but it is still yelling to kill you and eat your soul..."

Conani furrowed her brow and concentrated. What did Flint mean? She wondered, but before she had time to elaborate her thought process she encountered the same wall. It was kind of hard to think while you're reading what other people think, but she had found a ridiculous facility in it.

She told herself, well, of course. She decided she'd be a little more creative, and with that Conani thought she'd impose her own thought process. She attempted to enter Flint's mind with an image of her own, a barrier of her own. Ironically, the image she had in mind was a catapult.

Zentaku puts his right hand under his chin and says, "Hey you in there I have had it over the years shut the hell up or I will kill us both just to get some damn quiet in my own head... that's better." lowers him right arm.

Wonder how good this guy is. Ven starts with a few probing thrusts to test his enemy.

Nosro thought up a new scroll type from something he found in a book. The design would be simple enough, but containing its power was another story. Writing up the only 2 symbols needed aside from the standard Othala, he laid it on top of a candle and waited, hoping it wouldn't light up.

It did. Explosions followed.

"That's not good."

No, quite not good.

Nosro then got up to find Michael, knowing he needed to find some way to insulate this.

"hope you don't regret that." The thrusts start getting faster and faster aimed for joints.

Zentaku looks at Evangaline and asks, "Okay Evangaline, what is my next task?"

"You apparently thought right." Nosro said, making sure he wasn't on fire.

"Have anything on insulation? Don't want things to go boom before we tell them to. That would be bad."

Zentaku follows Evangaline out of the room

"I've done explosives before. But only explosives that are mind-activated by members of a rune or related domain. If we're going to arm a rebellion, we need them to be activated by regular people." Nosro said, walking over to the red book and taking it off the shelf.

Conani frowned and showed an awfully annoyed face. "I understand that I must learn and everything, but I think it'd be faster if we skipped the fortune-cookie predicaments and just tell me what should be done and how."

"Thanks for the advice." he catches it in his left hand and attacks almost the same way but with slashes and its about five times faster.

Conani blinked. "Does that mean I could've punched you?" She then chuckled to herself. "What other kind of distraction is possible?" She thought riddles to herself and made a mental note to remember.

Starts attacking even faster excitement crossing his face. "Hey Julius there is some thing you should know."

"Who is she?" Nosro asked, coming closer.
