Post UnHonorable War


After the war it was a time of forgiveness, a time of peace. Society was slowly starting to accept Alphas, knowing that they were now a natural part of life. So much so that laws are now based around them. Though mostly for the safety of others, it is great excitement for those 18-20 years of age. About that time is when dormant abilities rise up, and it is when you can finally get your Alpha permit. Though using abilities without a legitimate reason is prohibited, it is still a great feeling to be able to fly to work, or turn the stove on with your mind. Life was good... Or so it seemed...

Underneath the calm that illuminates life there are many groups that seek to control, destroy, and many other motives... These groups work quietly, as any attention brought to them at this time would bring a swift death, seeing as the Honor Guards are hardly in use anymore. But of course you know nothing of this. You are currently in middle school, learning what society requires you to, learning of Alphas and their laws (there's now a class on Alphas.) Though in most cases children do not gain abilities, this time does not seem to be the case... You and a small group of classmates strangely earned abilities, and though you may be excited, many will hunt you down... For what reason you do not know, but you'll have to act smart, keep quite, and above all else-

Survive.

Alright the set up is quite simple, at the moment you are all in Middle school (as stated above) and are all in a small town known as Little River, which is somewhere in the middle of Kansas. The town has under 1000 people living in it, which means that your middle school is quite small, and all grades share classes. At the moment, none of you have abilities, and none of you think you'll get abilities. You've all been taught the time when some of you may earn abilities (roughly 1/3 of the class) and start your lives. You've also been taught the extreme circumstances for using abilities without a permit. The nicer teachers just say that the Honor Guard come in and kill you, but the meaner teachers describe the Pit Fiends and the tests they will force your body through... Some teachers in the school do indeed have powers, though most of them don't use them on a regular basis.

The power system has also been changed as well to fit the storyline. Now, this doesn't mean you don't get choices on powers, but it does limit you to only 1 ability that evolves.

Example: PyroKinesis
Start: You can create minor flames at the tip of your finger and the base of your palm. When it leaves your body it disappears, but the fire doesn't burn you.

Once you get stronger, I'll Pm choices that you get, using pyro again your choices could be:
Precision: You can now create a small concentrated stream of flame, similair to a blowtorch, as well as fire small bolts of fire at long distances.

Power: You can create large balls of fire that can explode, causing great damage to the area, sometimes including yourself. You send massive waves of flame in front of you, burning all in your path.

Control: You can create small wisps of fire that you can shape into nearly anything, as well as cover yourself in flame that isn't harmful to you or your possessions, but is extremely hot to others.

Now, this wouldn't be all of your abilities, as you can use anything that you believe matches your choice. Now, if something you do doesn't fit I'll just edit in your post that you can't do it, and 'nullify' the post. Meaning that what you do in the post has no effect in the Rp until it's fixed. Now, the powers can upgrade to further levels beyond what I give you, some having more paths then others, but either way, you'll still get more powerful.

Soul Eaters Roleplay

Life is something sacred, something that everyone cherishes. But there is one species on the planet that detests life... Demons... They are horrid creatures that kill for pleasure, entertainment, sometimes just out of pure blood lust... They go out into the world and kill people so they may devour their souls and gain power over each other... Now, in this world there are weapons, meisters, and civilians. Weapons are people that live normal lives like the rest of us, but were born with the innate ability to transform into a weapon. Now, these transformations are genetic in themselves, as a family born from a katana will usually lead to the upbringing of more katana's. Another name for them are called "Soul Weapons." Now, meisters are those trained in wielding Soul Weapons. Though that may not sound so difficult, it is a skill that is hard to master. To wield a Soul Weapon, the meister and weapon's souls must be compatible, so to speak. So you will not be able to wield the weapon if the person hates you.

When demons broke free into the world then Death (Formally known as Shinigami) opened a school called Death Weapon Meister Academy, which teaches teenagers how to fight. Everyone at the school has a weapon partner of their own as they are trained to fight, as well as learn the evils of demons. During training they get field experience as they go out into the world and kill those whose soul has become so tainted with the souls of others that it turned into a Kishin Egg. While at the school there are ranks you can go up in, that allow many privileges as well as more important jobs. The highest rank is "Death Scythe" which is obtained when you gather 99 Kishin Eggs, and 1 Witch Soul. Death Scythes are extremely powerful, and are weapons that are called upon when Shinigami needs them. Now, witches are far more dangerous then some perceive. All witches are extremely powerful, some of which having the capabilities to stop time itself. If you lose against a witch then you will most likely die. But those that survive are stripped of the eggs they collected, and must start over.


Now as for your Rank it will work like this. Depending on the amount of eggs you have determines strength as well as rank.

25 Eggs - Rank 2 (Opens up more job oppertunities.)

50 Eggs - Rank 3 (More jobs and you get more info open to you in the library.)

75 Eggs - Rank 4 (You can get all jobs and almost all information at the library aside from restricted information.)

99 Eggs - Rank 5 (You can get into restricted information and Shinigami gives you your jobs. Rank 5 for Soul Weapons is called 'Death Scythe')


Power Levels (Can't be Over 9000)

How these work are slightly trickier. Every 10 eggs you get an extra add on or ability for the weapon or meister. This is a form of experience. Below will be an example of how a sword could upgrade.


0- Longsword

10- extremely lightweight

20- Can set on fire

30- Spiked Blade

Ect.


As for meister upgrades you can get limited things, such as...


Soul Sight - You can see other people's souls as well as how powerful they are.

Soul Fighting - You can fire impulses from your souls energy with fist contact, doing more damage

Anything you wish to upgrade should be confirmed by me first so as to keep it balanced.


The Rp will involve school of course, but not to the point where you actually need to Rp inside the class except under special circumstances. Going to class usually means learning a fun fact about the world that can possibly help you later on. Getting a job will also be treated roughly the same way. When you want to look for a job I will Pm a few that you can take, including those that were already taken at your current rank. Now of course it doesn't matter whether or not you work with another group, it just means you'll need to work twice as hard so you can both get Kishin Eggs. As well as 2 witch souls... Weapon: (This is based in modern times, but most weapons are from the medieval Era. If you want a ranged weapon then it must be medieval, I will not allow any modern guns. Now, you can also choose to be more creative with your weapon by choosing a mundane object fitted for fighting. The greatest example would be a launtern. At 1st it seems dumb, but add a chain, some steel reinforcement, and the ability to shoot fire. Then it becomes an interesting weapon.)

History:

Soul Resonance:(A special move where the partners build upon each others souls to let out an amazing ability. This can be nearly anything you can think of, but it must be confirmed by me. The more Kishin Eggs you collect the easier it'll be to perform. Can only use once per battle, or more if the battle is incredibly long.)

You have been living in peace and happiness since you were born. The society that you live in lives and breaths on religion. The area you live in is wonderful by the standards placed in your mind. Decent meals, positivity, and hard work. You see no sky, you see no Sun, but as far as you know, neither exist. Your home is in a earthen cave that is so vast that it holds millions of lives within it. Those who become devoted enough in their gods can rise up to use abilities granted from the gods themselves. The most important person in your Utopia is the Holy One. He is the oldest and most wise of everyone. But one day the normal lives of these people cracked as something from the "Outside" came in... Now our devout heroes must go out and defend their Utopia from what's outside. But what is outside? Who will be there? Will they still be as devout as they are now? Only time will tell.


All devoted followers have limited skills and abilities that they train with. The most common of these abilities is healing, which all followers can do. Though the capabilities are limited, they are good enough to heal minor cuts and bruises without being too mentally draining. Using this positive energy, can stop the undead, make them flee in terror, or simply destroy them. As they get stronger, their ray does so as well, though it will only ever effect undead. (Unless told otherwise.) The last thing that every follower learns, even the youngest, is how to defend yourself in close combat. With age and experience comes better hand to hand fighting, but weapons weren't common in this Utopia, so that is all they learned.


The strongest of followers can then decide to choose a domain. Domains pertain with deities of every sort, and all contain different abilities. When you play you will choose one of the below domains. You will only know of the first powers you get, but the rest will be found through time and training.


Air Domain

You can turn Earth Elementals as you can turn undead.


-You can create a light fog at a stationary position. It can provide light cover and can be blown away by strong winds.


Animal Domain
You can speak with animals once a day.

You have an innate knowledge of nature.


-You can calm enraged animals with your soothing magic.



Artifice Domain

You have great skill in crafting objects.


-You can control rope with your mind, giving it simple commands. (Knot, wrap, coil, ect.)



Charm Domain

You can boost your charm and looks for a short while every day.


-You can use your magic to make someone treat you as a close friend so long as you concentrate.



Community Domain

You are more diplomatic and can calm angered people.


-You can inspire your allies for awhile, increasing their fighting capabilities.



Creation Domain

Creation spells take less mental energy to cast.

Darkness Domain

You can fight normally even if you can't see.

Can turn water elementals like you can turn undead.


-You can fire small flames from your hands roughly 10 feet out, burning everything it touches.



Glory Domain

You can turn undead more effectively then others.


-You have the ability to inflict damage to undead with a touch.



Healing Domain

Your incredibly skilled at healing.


-You can cure light wounds, from larger cuts to big bruises.



Knowledge Domain

You have little knowledge of most everything. Divinations are casted with little effort.

Story
The world went into WW3, but it didn’t last long. With the use of nuclear weapons the war ended within 2 months, but the aftereffects of the war was terrible. Most small cities are now off the face of the planet, plants dying from the slow working radiation, and now people are starting to die. So now the major powers of the world understand the threat and they combined their scientific knowledge to try and stop radiation harm. Well they worked pretty quickly and found the answer, but they haven’t tested it completely. Very quickly the cure was injected into nearly everyone, and for awhile everything was fine. The cities started to get rebuilt, the near destruction of Earth got people to understand each other and more, and now, nukes are banned. But an even larger threat has started to arrive. Pretty soon large amounts of people were starting to get these strange mutations and have caused great destruction (mostly by accident.) The scientists of the world checked to find the problem. What they soon found was that the cure mutated the DNA of some, causing them to have abilities we couldn’t dream of. When the world leaders found this out, they began to panic. With such power walking around they don’t know what could happen. So they began on another project to try and recreate said powers and use them against the “Alphas” and eradicate them all. So far this is a very expensive project, and not many people walk around with these suits, but for those who do, they are a real threat to Alphas, and are known as the Honor Guard. Many people disagreed with this. The scientists wanted to capture and learn how to control it, the highly religious thought it was a sin to have God-like power, and the Alphas wanted them stopped. Currently in the world there are various groups that have many views on the Alphas. But what will happen in the end? Only you can decide.

The attack system is Action/Reaction. Meaning that you say what you are trying to do, then the person post what happens. Just please, when reacting try not to dodge every move thrown at you, it makes the game unfair^^

Alphas
They are the super humans of this world. They vary in many abilities and are hunted and hated among most. Just using their abilities puts them at a high risk to getting caught. Most of the Alphas are within the rebel group that is called the UnHonorables, just to make fun of the Honor Guard. Those who aren’t with them either act like normal people are use it for personal gain. The ones who use for gain usually die quickly.
Relations
Most of the Alphas fear and dislike both the Honor Guard and the Swords of God. But all Alphas fear the Pit Fiends… Otherwise they have their own mixed feelings towards others.

Honor Guard
They are trained soldiers put into suits of many varieties. Some of them are very large with a great amount of abilities, where as others are concealed and have all the abilities they need to kill.
Relations
Most of the soldiers feel negatively towards Alphas, but some of them just love the thrill of power and killing. As for everyone else, they just get in the way, so unless they have powers they don’t care what you are. The only exception is the Pit Fiends, which the Honor Guard disagree with.

Honor Mechs
Highly experimental robots built to hunt down Alphas. They have had many issues with them so far, but of the ones that work, they are quite deadly.
Relations
They feel what they are told to feel.

The Predators
They are a group of 6 Honor Guard members that are the best of the best (excluding Wade) and are called the
Predators due to their animal themed suits. They are ruthless, and they seem almost non-human, killing without
remorse. They lost any remembrance of their lives and so will do anything to get the job done.
Relations
They kill what their told to kill.

LandRaider
She is a woman in a tiger shaped suit. She is very fast and agile and has many concealed weapons, her most used are
her claws and fangs. But along with that she has plenty of other weapons, including more energy based weapons, as
she doesn't have the space to store ammo.

EagleEye
He is in a suit designed around accuracy and precision. Along with flying, he can also see for miles in detail, and snipe
with his high power sniper. With that is also many different visors for any enviroment, allowing him to see you
anywhere. And once he has his sights on you, well, you might as well kiss your head goodbye.

The Ripper
He is a large man in an even larger bear shaped suit. His claws are large cleavers that are made specifically
to shred through flesh like paper. Along with his size and strength he also has many rocket proppeled weapons to
destroy his targets with.

Ankle Biter
He is a midget in a flexible weasel suit and his main ability is teleportation. He uses cheap tactics and explosives
to win, his most common method is to teleport above you dropping live grenades upon you. He is also very talkative,
and is seen getting smacked by his partners frequently.

King of the Sea
Though not seen often, he is a man in a shark shaped suit, and what he does is quite simple. He can move very quickly
through the water, and sports more blades and saws then you would even dream. He spends most all of his time in the
water and only comes out rarely to eat. But quite simply, most who enter the water as a target, die within minutes.

Wise One
A very old woman in an owl shaped suit, she has no physical weapons, and can only barely fly. She is rarely seen on
the field of battle, but when she is, her attacks are devastating. She can force upon people illusions that at 1st seem
harmless, but quickly start to kill the person, mentally as well as physically.

Death Squad
Not even really a squad, this is a group of people that love to abuse their powers, usually by killing or destroying.
This group is small as most of them die within a day of their mayhem. But of course there will always be them so long as we have a race of unintelligent morons.
Relations
They kill anyone and anything, sometimes even their own group, as superpower battles tend to be more fun and challenging.

Hands of God
This is a group of highly religious people that feel the need to eradicate the world of all with god-like powers. Though they usually have just civilian weapons, they are a threat because they look like normal people. The leader of this group is well known for his martial arts and his sword, which is charged with electricity, killing most with one stab.
Relations
They hate those who do not follow God but they try to stay hidden. They agree with the Honor Guard and their killing, but dislike the ones that kill for pleasure. They hate the Pit Fiends the most though, as they torture them, aside from simply killing them.

Pit Fiends
They are a hidden group of scientists that wish to learn the secrets of the Alphas abilities, though most believe they go too far. They capture people who are believed to have abilities and take them to “The Pit” which is hidden among most and is named such because of how deep underground it is. Though the name Pit Fiends didn’t come from them, it fits, as when they experiment on them they keep them alive during the whole process. All that go through this say it is absolute torture. Some Pit Fiends have abilities, but mostly to hold and stop other Alphas they’ve captured.
Relations
They hate the Honor Guard because they kill the Alphas, they like the Alphas for their abilities, but everyone else is just another person to them.

Law Enforcements
Law enforcing has been really difficult, and really easy. If it’s an Alpha causing trouble they will try and stop it, but the Guard usually kills it. But other then that their job is simply to stall Alphas, even if some disagree with it.
Relations
All have mixed feelings about everyone, but most are told to kill Alphas. Some of the lower ranked people are less likely to kill those that they feel are “ok” because they don’t enjoy killing innocents.

Civilians
They are normal everyday people with their own personalities. The greater sections of civilians though are afraid of Alphas because of government propaganda. Otherwise most people don’t care so long as they don’t kill them.
Relations
They are mixed about everyone, but most of them are disgusted at what the Pit Fiends do.

The Elements
They are a well known group of Alphas that were the 1st to rebel, but because of recent events they broke contact. The Elements were a group of 6 people, one for each element, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, and Dark. When they broke up Dark went on his own and nobody knows where he went. Wind did the same, but her location is known by Fire and Light. Light, Earth, and Fire still have a little contact with each other as they run various underground hideouts for Alphas. Water wanted a normal life and is currently hiding out in a city. Each of the Elements are very powerful on their own, but when together they are unbeatable. They were said to even beat Wade in combat together, which was never done before. Any of the Elements would be willing to help someone in trouble, but getting help from Dark could be both a blessing and a crime...
Relations: They have mixed feelings about everyone and every group. You'll have to meet them to learn what their point of view is.

Alright I will run the powers by a point system, which is why there are numbers. For right now you will have 10 points, but you may get more along the way. Now, you can also make powers weaker and stronger to get or lose more points, though you'll have to ask me before posting your change.

*I Earned New Points, What Now?*
It's quite simple, you can't lose any power you already have, but you can enhance the power if you want, or make it less powerful. If you get any new powers your character wont realize right away, but it will come forth at some point (Ex. You get pyrokinesis and your hands will randomly set on fire.) You don't have to spend the points now, and can save for later. Just Pm me the changes you want made and I'll edit it into your character sheet^^

Henry struggled as he was being held back, Father's face staring him directly in the face... That man was horrid... His grin making Henry want to kill him every second they stood together... "You... You are a monster!!!" Henry yelled, lurching forward once more, trying to break free from the men's to no avail,"I have spent, 6 YEARS in that damned Pit! And just when I got out and tasted freedom for the first time that I remember you expect me to just go back in and help you!" Henry spit in Father's direction, hitting him square in the chest as he looked him straight in the eyes and said,"I... Will NEVER do anything to help you... I have a daughter to protect... A daughter, that YOU TORTURED, and tried to make me forget about!" tears started to build up. Henry shook them away as he stared in his eyes again,"So you can just go back in that hell hole you belong in... Cause as long as my little girl is alive, I WILL PROTECT HER!" Henry was shaking in anger by this point as he watched Father, and looked at his daughter, his heart feeling like it was going to rip out because he could not embrace her...

The man merely stood there as his grin only very slightly drooped. He stepped closer to Henry, though was sure to stay a foot away as he bent down to meet Henry eye to eye. He chuckled slightly as he replied,"My my... You just don't understand do you? We can't possibly let you go, not when we're so close to getting what we desire. You see, you and your daughter are merely lab rats, designed to test what we make so we do not hurt ourselves or others. You, my delusional little pet, are not even to be considered human... You're a vassal to our drugs, a walking test." The man then turned and walked a little bit away as he turned to Henry's daughter, stepping closer to her.

"Now, she is what you are as well, another rat, just waiting to have tests done on her. Tell me, when scientists test their drugs on normal rats, is that considered torturous? No... Of course not... For we are only out to help the greater good." He then stopped as he walked closer to his daughter,"Now, the good thing about rats, is that when they die, they can be replaced without harm coming to those who matter. Seeing as you wont come with us with this rat alive..." Before he continued he quickly put a .22 pistol to his daughter's head and pulled the trigger, killing her instantly as her corpse fell to the ground,"Now then, shall we go back to the base?" The man said rather calmly, his smile returning to his face as he puts his gun away.
