The robotkind - Emergence.

Olaf:"Very well." He takes note of this name.
Optus:"So uhm, what's that journey you talked about?"
Olaf:"We're going on the Alpha Centauri star system, on a planet named Horizon. We'll need you for diverse tasks there."
Optus raised an eyebrow, not looking very pleased: "tasks?"
Olaf:"Yes, we need some men to work there. Don't worry, you'll be treated like a normal human, this will be way better than your previous life."

"I had a life?" Zaphod inquired, standing up stretching, his bald head shined in the light.

Olaf smilled behind his blond mustache.
"Now, excuse me, but I have other rescued humans to identify. You should hear an alarm in your suite in about 3 hours, when that happen, Rho will show you the way to the meeting room. We'll give your more information there."
He then leave the room, hands in his back.

Zaphod just nods, sitting on his bed again. He loathed just sitting doing nothing but to talk to these....people. Personally he hates everyone and is a narcissist all the way, so he always check his own reflection and smiles.

"People love you if you love yourself." His mental motto of meeting new people, but the group around him aren't people....

Optus: "Sigh, what is there to do for 3 hours?"

"Uh, I'm not sure what you enjoy doing. So I can't really say what there would be to do for 3 hours."

"Well, we could talk about something. A rare opportunity if you ask me. Of course, on the female side of the reproduction operation, I didn't get to talk much at all." Laura said, scooting herself closer to the head of the bed and leaning against it. Her eyes looked over the other three who were in the room with her and attempted to size them up, but failed. Inexperience still bound her mind.

"Well, I think I'm off for a walk." Optus gets up and walk outside the room.
"Don't worry, I'll be back in the suite before 3 hours."

"Well what shall we talk about then?" Zaphod walks to Laura's bed and sits on it, inviting her for a conversation.

"Better then nothing I guess."

Optus walks in the hallway, waves personal waking by.
"God this is great! I can do whatever I want!" Optus then starts running trough the hall, laughing like a child, dodging walkers and objects. "I AM FREE!!! HAHAHA!"

As Optus is running down the hall, a sudden opening door comes out with some soldiers walking out of it, as Optus runs directly into it, pushed backwards a few feet because of the powerful opening motion of it.

Optus' nose is bleeding "Ow, ow, ow, fuck, ow, ow..." he says put his hands over it.

Another door just next to him opens and slams into him, as a soldier notices him and drags him away from them. "Yeah, uh, we never actually fixed that problem. That's why we usually walk."

"Ugh, okay, sorry..."He then gets up and continues his way, this time walking. "I guess even what we call *freedom* has its limitations." Optus thought as he was holding his nose.

"Do you want to go to the medical center or do you feel that you will be fine? You got pretty messed up by those doors."

"Uh? that much?" "Funny, people seem to care about me here"
He thinks a bit and then answers "Alright. as long as it takes less than 3 hours I'll go there."

"It shouldn't take THAT long, maybe 10 minutes at worst. You're just bruised up some and are obviously bleeding from the nose." The Soldier then escorts him to the medical center.

As he walks with the soldier toward the medical room, Optus starts a conversation with the soldier: "So uhm, what's your name? What are you doing on this ship exactly?"

"I'm Anatoli, and I'm mostly on here because, like all of the AoF, we actually care about the controlled breeding groups, unlike the ULH who seems to not really give two shits about people like yourself."

"Hmph, I really start seeing a family in AoF. At least you guys are made of flesh and blood. I appreciate you for that, you guys stay true to your nature!"

"Well... we could start with, what are your interests?" She asked. The question may have been futile however, since none of them ever had time to explore something other than reproduction. Surely though, this man could come up with something, everyone could think of anything they could possibly like. There was a lot of time to think in the station.

"I don't know......" Zaphod said surprisingly, He shoulda know something. "Animals I guess?" Then he laughed at his own statement, the Irony it had in all of that.

"Seems like a stupid question to have asked, we couldn't have explored anything in that place." She replied, laughing a bit in spite of herself. "Then... what do you want to do as soon as we're able to go planet side? I'm sure there are a lot of things."

"I don't know..." Zaphod scratched his head. "I always been in confinement...even after I was a breeder....." Then he stops looking at Laura and looked at the plants.

A frown curled Laura's lips as Zaphod answered. When he looked away she reached over to him and poked his cheek. "You're boring." She said, adding a bit of a joking tone to it. "Hopefully this experience will flesh out everyone's character, can't have robot-like humans can we?"
