| He gets off the bed and stretches he was still really worn out but he was a little hungry. He moved to the door and opened it. He then turned towards the Kitchen and slowly moved towards it. When he got there he slowly opened the door to see if anyone else was in there. | |

| Gabrielle was in the kitchen, contemplating a banana. Seeing Yia come in, she looked up, her jaw locked. She wasn't feeling good, and she thought she might burst into tears. "Hey, Yia. Sorry, about your arm." She gestured to where she had dug her nails in. "You were closest to me, so... yeah."
She looked back to the unpeeled banana, finding less and less humor in it. "When I was a couple years younger than your age, I was taken hostage on a hijacked plane. A plane that crash landed in the Atlantic ocean." She put her teeth together. "Being in that car really... made me remember pretty scary things. I've feared for my life a lot of ways, but it isn't the same. I mean, I know I can't die the way I am now, but once you've experienced that fear, it never really goes away.
"Do you understand, Yia? Why I was strange?" Gabrielle swallowed hard and turned away. She personally didn't know why, twelve years later, she was still so scared of those things. | |

| Yia looked at her and smiled. He sat down next to her. "It's okay I knew something was up when you did that. Plus it didn't really hurt." He holds his arm up to show no damage was done. "Invulnerable, you know. But I understand why you were so scared, I would be too if that had happened to me. When you did that I thought you'd tell me the reason when your ready." | Gabrielle hugged him back. Her body was considerably warmer than her hands were back then, and she smiled to herself. She heard herself sniff, and felt her eyes moisten. she told herself to please not start crying, because it would ruin her mascara and it'd be really uncool in normal circumstances, but then she told herself it didn't matter and let two drops trail down her face, greyed with eyeliner.
"Thank you," Gabrielle said softly, "Yiaraw. Thank you." she sniffed again. Better not get the runny nose, Gab. She hadn't cried in years. | |

| Gabrielle nodded, and closed her eyes. She made a small note to herself not to start sobbing--she couldn't stand herself crying like a second-grader. She had some dignity, after all.
"My ex always used to call me an 'iron lady'," Gabrielle started, in between tears. "Guess he might have to call me a 'copper lady' now." She didn't know if Yia would get the malleable joke, but she chuckled to herself anyway. | |
