Fragility of the Mind

As before, the strike goes through him, but this time, he becomes invisible the moment it waves through him

Yia looked around and teleported away. He turned on the Thermal Vision he learned from Alloy he looked around for Ryan. He saw him and teleported behind him and stabbed again.

Ariel sat there, stunned. Did she really just hear that? She quickly covered up her emotions and had a neutral expression.

"I see," Ariel nodded. "You said that you don't know why you love her? Well...if you want, I could take you to her." It was a long shot, but maybe this girl had answers to some of their questions. Especially the ones concerning her best friend.

The stab goes through, and Ryan thrusts his hand into Yia's face, letting loose a torrent of steam

Ryan glares at Ken before going invisible again

Yia yelped as the steam got him and teleported away.

He appears right where Yia teleported to, already in mid-jab with the spire

Raine was listening to Ariel and Grace's conversation, she leaned closer to the two and said with a devilish grin.

"Well, sweetie, you can just go on your own. There's nothing physically tying you down here. It's all up in here that you need to stay." She pointed to her head and then turned to Emir, considering his question for a moment and then talking.

"Well, other than running away, seeing lots of pathetic things, doing a lot of pathetic things, finally getting something good in my life then losing it... that's pretty much it." She smiled.

"How about you? more interesting than mine?"

The spire breaks as it makes contact with his body. Yia teleported behind him and slashed again.

Ryan spins around and catches it between his hands, looking Yia dead in the eye

Ryan spun and kicked Yia's blade in TK's direction, going invisible again

"Uhhh...let's see...." Emir said, rubbing his beard. "I killed my mom and sister when I was 13....Whole life training to be a government assassin, Had crazy eye project from Russians....killed a lot of people.....joined some super freaks....Yea that's pretty much it." Emir said, smiling real strangely as if he was missing something in his life story in a nutshell."

Yia held the blade firm trying to make sure it wouldn't harm TK.

Ariel sat quietly, thinking about what Raine said. If they just took the girl along, it could be dangerous. That Angelo guy had money and power, especially if he had this girl under his thumb, doing things for him. It would be risky, but they had to try.

"Yes, Raine is right, there is nothing really keeping you here," Ariel said. "You could come with us if you wanted, though you don't have to."

Yia looked around turning the Thermal back on and saw Ryan he pointed out Ryan to TK.
