don't mind the note dump
base stats for (half)orc girl
14- dex
12- wis
11- int
15- con
17- str
14- cha
actually, scratch the above, we were using point buy. all stats start at 8, and we have 32 points to spend
okay, so the way point buy works goes like this:
all stats start at 8, racial changes not included.
increasing a stat costs one point per until a stat reaches 14.
to go from 14 to 15 costs 2 points. same with 15 to 16.
going from 16 to 17 and from 17 to eighteen costs 3 points each.
to whit, increasing a single stat from 8 to 18 will cost 16 points.
it's interesting- if you increase roughly equally, every stat would have roughly a 12, unless you focused on 5 stats and left one average, in which case they would all be 14 except for that one.
well, i'm giving up intelligence (for the most part) and focusing on strength, then con, dex, and cha. wis and int will take hits, but that's fine.
str- 18 dex 14 con- 14 int- 8 wis- 8 cha- 12
since i'm going orog for her, she will get +6 to str, -2 to dexterity, -2 to wisdom, and +2 to charisma
this will give her a final setup of 24 str, 12 dex, 14 con, 8 int, 6 wis, and 14 cha, which is pretty much where i want her
is she a barbarian? a monk? a warblade?
leaning towards the latter, while the former would make the most sense
yeah, unfortunately the warblade wouldn't work out, if i wanted her to have low intelligence. warblade kind of requires good int
7'6 420lbs
alright, is she a standard orc? a mountain orc? a gray orc? or an orog?
EDIT: after some number crunching it has been decided- she will be an orog. with that and most of what i've been planning she should end up with something around 24 str (not including level), 14 con, 12 dex, 8 int, 6 wis, and 14 cha
also found some drawbacks and traits that would work well for her
flaws: Fearless, high metabolism
traits:jack of all trades, hardy, tall
another note: i don't think i actually want her to be literate. just wouldn't make sense
EDIT:
before i have to go hunting, she also has these racial benefits
land speed 30
medium size
darkvision 120ft
proficient with greatsword and throwing axe (not going to matter, but nice for the future)
+2 Craft skill (armorsmithing and weaponsmithing)
+2 natural armor
light blindness (abrupt bright light blinds for 1 round and -1 circumstance check to attack rolls, saves, and checks while in bright light)
resistance 5 to both fire and cold
orc blood (counts as an orc where it matters)
automatic languages- orc and undercommon
favored class- fighter (not going to matter)
level adjustment +2 (yeah, that'll hurt, but oh well)
