I hear the term 'blood on (_my_his_her_their) hands' all the time, and I can't help but think,
'how can you say that? since when is blood NOT on your hands?'

The human hand is made out of tissues, which require blood to keep them supplied with oxygen and nutrients so they can operate.
And even if the nerves are somehow unable to fire and cause reactions, blood will continue to flow to the hand unless the hand is, in some way separated from constant blood flow, either by cutting it off via constriction in some manner, or by actually cutting the limb Off at some point.

Okay, so this is apparently a thing today

A couple of years ago, I got a travel mug for coffee, because people felt like giving me things. something about a birthday or something
Anyways, this travel mug was one of those that had a university logo emblem on the side (SPIRITS!)

So I am walking down the sidewalk to class today, holding this mug, and it happens to slip through my fingers and hit the concrete with a resounding ring
cheery little fucker...
So I bend down to pick it up, and i realize something

The emblem is gone.

The emblem fucking came Off

so now i have a blank, stainless steel coffee mug and a random piece of metal with the KU logo on it
just sitting here like

What the fuck am i supposed to do with these?

If you can still drink from the mug and the logo isn't shattered then I suggest you get some industrial glue (I believe the trademark is superglue) and glue that motherfucker back.

I mean if it worked for my steel earrings, my stylus, the frames of my glasses, an unfortunate Genestealer model whose leg got ripped off and 7-year-old Hinaoki's scalp after falling off a swing and getting hit in the head by said swing, then it should technically work fine for you.
