this song caught me because I'm still stuck on the Worm train, and I feel this fits really well with the entire character and arc of Taylor

because yeah, she is definitely the hero. there may or may not have been others who could have stepped up to the plate and saved a group of teenagers, a family of refugees, a city, the world- but no one else did, so she did it for them
and she succeeded

but even before she got powers, her life was miserable, and while she may have found her calling, she sacrificed everything she had and everything she was, and received nothing in return
it's just...the kind of bittersweetness that really made me love and hate Worm, in the end
