魔界 Demon World: Ancient Japan: Volume 1

Volume 1: The Path to Nihon, Introduction.

Taking place in the Asuka Period, Nihon(Was what Japan was called 'back in the day')'s sudden shutdown. There were no farmers, no merchants, and no citizens to walk the ground of Nihon. A barrier of shadows and fog block the rest of Nihon, leaving the city of Naniwa(Osaka) to the scared public travelers.

However, Five warriors successfully fled the happenings of Nihon. One of them, being their 'leader' recklessly came back to Naniwa, only finding his sudden disappearance. The four warriors, now considered as rogues with no one to command them, set off back to Nihon and get rid of this horrible change of the country. However, instead of charging inside and die like their 'leader', they have traveled to different parts of the world, looking and finding for warriors like themselves to help free Nihon from this dark plague and find their 'leader'.

Months pass, they have recruited enough fighters skilled enough( They think...) and worthy enough, to enter the tainted grounds of Naniwa. They have built two crude boats. Two warriors, named 武蔵 Ryo Musashi, and 五郎 Masa Goro, have volunteered to be leaders of the foreign fighters.

Goro took a headstart and already went to Naniwa, along with his comrade 'Hiryu', while Musashi and Hanate Hayate, the only comrade that agreed to help Musashi, examined the only fighters left on the only boat that's still there.

Goro will speak in cyan font.
'Hiryu' will speak in indigo font.

Goro,'Hiryu' and the foreigners on his boat took a head start, the last thing they saw back there was Musashi ordering his group of foreigners to do what he says. Goro sits down, and begins to converse with his foreign comrades.

" So, who are you people again..?" Goro yawns as he talks.
'Hiryu', the mysterious one scouts and begins to look-out for any sudden outcomes as the ship begins to paddle to Naniwa, the only city visible of Nihon. " It'll take around two hours if we paddle fast. So, let's just enjoy the ride. "

"Not much in 'talkin eh?" Goro rests his hand on the water for two seconds. He raises his hand out of the water, his fingers are covered in blood. "Hm...interesting.."

'Hiryu stands guard, he closes his eyes as the boat approachs and goes inside a mysterious fog. The yelling of Musashi back at shore have been lowered into nothingness, the skies and surroundings are covered in white.

The boat begin to tilt and shake.

Hiryu threw a shuriken star as a sudden hand begin to grasp the edge of the boat near Goro.

More of these hands begin to appear on each side of the boat. They try to make the boat sink and fill up with the sea water.

Goro stood up, pulled a arm up to him and punched the sea demon in mid-air, it flies back to the water with a flip.

The sea demons begin to climb up to the boat, they begin combat to the foreigners. They appear to wear ragged clothes, they have bits of skin clinging on to them. They seem to formerly be human.

'Hiryu' lowered down and sweeped one of the demons, tripping it and falling to the ground. " Damn Funayūrei!"

Two of the demons begun to attack the doctor, while one of the other demons began to stare at Izogoth.

"Rahhhh! Die you monsters!" Goro replied with anger. He began to punch and kick most of the demons back to the water. It worked temporary, but they began to climb back up the boat.

"How persistent..." the only woman on the ship halted her paddling, seeing as the boat was going nowhere. She got up and punched strongly into the skeletal joint of one. Hearing the familiar cracking sound, she withdrew her hand and brutishly kicked it back into the water.

The fog began to fade away, the demons fled the boat and wandered back. The other demons drowned or died away and left as corpses of the boat.

"That's a bit better..." Goro watched the demons swim away.
Goro turned to the front.
"Not really..." Hiryu replied.

A typhoon wave appears, the boat begins to move in uncontrollable directions. Goro and Hiryu are passed out, as the ship is transported to a random location as the typhoon ends.

A hour passed.

As the typhoon's horrific effects end, Goro, 'Hiryu' and the foreigners are washed on a shore. They seem to have reached Naniwa's dock. The shadow barrier of fog reaches Naniwa, covering and restricting the foreigners of any further pass they do not have. The barrier stops, leaving six abandoned houses, a castle, and the way leading to the six houses/castles.

The way leading to the Castle is not far, and seems fairly easy to travel upon.

"So...anyone still alive yet?" Goro manages to stand up and check the vicinity.
The boat is nowhere to be found. He cannot see any trace or sign of Musashi's boat. He watches the skies, a bolt of lightning sparks the ground near the Castle.

"Hmm...any ideas? " 'Hiryu' shrugged and stood there.

The fire creature began to swing it's arm, creating a disc of fire going straight at them.

"Rah!" He picks up the raccoon creature and began to throw down the thing to the ground.

'Hiryu' leaped in the air and threw pellets rapidly quick, as they impact the ground, smoke began to appear, blinding the two demons and the two foreigners that are awake. 'Hiryu' then began to unsheathe his blade and charge at the demons with the risk of attacking his own comrades.

The smoke faded. The fire spirit was on the ground struggling to get up, the hairy beast was disemboweled. Hiryu's armor had a streak of blood. He opened his eyes, and looked at his victim's mess.

'Hiryu' watched the doctor walk away, he quickly grabbed Izagoth and the Doctor, ordering Goro to follow. He sprinted as fast as he could to a new path, he saw a dead end. He braked and slipped, the ground below them suddenly opens, they fall.
