Life in the Pits

She gasped a little at the thought of escape. She had never even thought about leaving this place before and the lack of a keycard was even worse! Looking to the voice, she said. "But how do I get that last thing voice?" She was talking about the keycard since it seemed to be the hardest one to get. Should she also involve the others in this? But if they got killed it would be over for them. She was the only one that couldn't die..

She looked down at the ground and shuffled her feet a little, her expression getting sadder. "So there really is nothing I can do..I don't want to get the others involved with this either..I can't die but they definitely can.."

She gave it a little nod before she said. "I don't know what to do..it would probably be easy just to give up but..what about the others?"

Three continued dodging. This man was good at what he was doing, whatever he was doing. Sometimes time slowed for a second or two to allow Three to escape the blows. He had physique, but, before capture, hadn't taken martial arts classes. Sometimes the 'fight' would be pushed into the corner of the room, at which point three would have to flip off the wall to get away. Although he wasn't feeling too tired from this, he sure wished it would end soon.

She gasped when he said that. "B-but I care about them! I'm trying to think about a way to get out of here but..I'll have to hear everyone's powers again."

9 then stood still and spread his arms out widely and several rocks in front of him lift up...they begin rushing towards 9 at high speeds...9 thrusts his left arm in an arm-pump style, a shield of stone shapes and the rocks pelt it, exploding on impact...9 takes a deep breath and the shield melts away...he allows the rocks to pelt his armor...the same effect taking place...suddenly, all of the stone on his body falls away as loose dirt, he begins to fall onto one knee as one of the rocks hits him in the stomach, leaving a bruise...

he is kneeling on the ground, breathing heavily as though he'd been sprinting

"A gift...?" Ten said, a grin on his face.
" Sure... I can wait. Any more things to burn today?"

*Ten holds out his arms.
"Uh what are these for...?"

9 stood and slowly walked to the door way, he stops in the doorway and grips his chest tightly
"Ah!!! ...man.......please...give me a minute..."
9 says in pain as he stands in the doorway

9 looks the man in the eyes, 9's face shows no pain at all

he mouths the words
'lip read?'

*10 followed the guy, pouncing on him just as they exited the room, going for the keycard.
(DAMNIT BEST!!)

9 stumbles partially out into the hallway
"...hold on...please...just one more second...my heart...feels odd...but it's going away..."
9 leans back inside the doorway and coughs...breathing heavily

9 mouths:
'how can I trust you? you're one of them'

9 puts the card in the elastic of his pants, his shirt covering it

"...thank...you..."
9 says...his breathing still heavy but returning to normal...from the hallway, it could be seen that his leg is sticking out slightly as his back is propped against the doorway

he mouths:
'and what of you? you said you would die...come with us'

9 slowly walks into the hall...holding his chest and doubled-over slightly...he straightens and stretches
"Ah...I feel better...thank you..."
9 walks with the man
"No heart attack this time, but there was high blood pressure for a while..."

Five gave a small gulp and then nodded as she closed her eyes. She didn't know how much this was going to hurt but she did know that she wouldn't die from it. But what did the Voice mean when he said that she would forget?
