Life in the Pits

9 stretches and walks over the the meal bar and picks it up and eats it.
He then procceeds the the next room and stretches again for the final time

3 walked over to his stale meal, eating carefully. He did some complex calculations in his head. The food tasted slightly better than usual. He had no knowledge of how he learned these things. After all, he didn't remember there being a school in the world. His world. Just what he thought were Gods and the other 9 people who inhabited the place. He continued eating before going into the exam room.

*010 Stood up.
He slowly ate his meal, bland as usual. Then made his way to the exam room.
The usual routine.

" I feel normal, nothing out of the usual " 010 spoke.

9 sits down and says "I am fine, as always, sir."
He says, as he usually does

"Nine, 235 pounds, six feet one inch, Caucassian"

(fix'd. Simple lifestyle, eh? xD)

"If my calculations are correct, I feel about 3.1% better than yesterday." 3 said, pulling out a typical response. The figure was exaggerated. He calculated that he felt 1.5% better, but the voice always seemed more pleased when he produced larger increases.

"Three, 200 pounds, six feet 5 inches, Caucasian"

2 slowly made his way to the meal bar, and picked it up. Walking to the Exam room while eating it afterwards.

" My name is Ten. 95 lb. 6'7. I am white. "

6 sat up in bed and stretched, feeling the cracking in his back. He felt well-rested and refreshed today for some reason and walked instead of trudged over to the sink. He ate the meal bar with out complaint today; he didn't mind the blandness of it. Then he strode out of his room with a slight smile on his face.

He came to the exam room and was met with the male voice again: "How do you feel Number 6?"

"I feel good today," he answered more cheerfully than usual. Then he answered the questions the same as he did every day. "6, 125 lbs, 5 feet 10 inches, Caucasian."

9 got up and walked to the rec room, going straight to the treadmill

" Okay then " 10 replied.
*Making his way over to the table in the room, he sat down, putting his feet up on the table.

2 sat in the chair, with a bored expression.
"Better, for some reason."

"2. I am Two. 110 lb, 5'5...and i am Asian." 2 replied.

"Thank you." Three said, entering the rec room, seeing 4 of the 10 there. As far as he knew, this was the most fun thing in the world. Getting on the stair stepper, he turned up the machine to 'aerobic' level and began a usual sprint.

9 jogs on the treadmill, watching 3 as usual, in a way he almost felt like they were competing, but he didn't care, he did this out of his own interest until he grew tired

"Thank you voice," 6 said as he left the Exam Room to go to the Rec Room. He saw some of the others there already. He greeted each of them in turn and went to the bench press.

"I should work on my pecs today, eh 3?" he said with a grin. He really did feel good today.

"Thank you, he stood up from the chair and walked to the Rec Room awfully faster then the way to the Exam Room. He glared at 10, and said.

"May i sit with you?" He looked at his face, bored.

"Probably a good idea, considering the remaining lower body equipment is quite manual." Three replied, continuing to run.

" Depends... " 010 smirked as he said it.
"Yea...I could use some company."

Smiling, 6 laid back and started his workout, humming to himself.

'Today is going to be a good day.'

2 sat on a chair and glared at 10.
"You look weird, is you ugly?" He said, wondering.
