Life in the Pits

Five gave a small pout as she said. "I don't think it would be amusing at all.."

Eight blinked and looked towayds the Voice's direction. She scurried to the wall and bit her lip. "Sir, I may be lacking... manners," she started. The manners part came to her instantly. She knew that, somewhere outside, there were civil people with a code of etiquette, and made a face of deep thought. "But whose side are you really on?"

Three 'heard' the voice go silent. Apparently now Five and Eight were talking at nothing. Obviously the voice had a strong power, and was probably an illusion. Three also figured the voice must be intelligent or scheming or something. Personally if Three could emplace himself as an illusion in someone he would be a sexy beast, but that was just him.

He stared down the hallway, unable to examine the voice further. He really hoped there would be doors and a layout in the next floor... this infinite hallway was probably going to make him die of boredom if the lack of guards hadn't killed him already.

9 walks out and stands behind 5, once again putting his hand on her shoulder, looking at the voice
"Look, I don't trust you, and I'm sure you don't like me, but right now, I just want to help Five and the others get out. Even if she can't die, you know what would happen if they caught her. So, can you help us out?"

She gave it a little thought before looking up at Nine and saying. "He can't help us right now. That's pretty much it. I wish he would help us but he won't. We should keep going though. If we're careful we should be able to make it out of here alive right?"

"Not to interrupt the tangent, but when he said we should get moving he probably meant it." Three said, looking down the hallway.

"...alright then..."
9 says, and begins going down the hallway cautiously, ready to react in case something happens

"Let's go"

Three took point and headed down.

"We need to be ready to grab eachother... Lots of traps I think." Three said, unwilling to allow the escape to fail due to a pungi pit.

Five quickly held on to Nine's hand when Three suggested that they do so. The hadn't seen any traps yet but that didn't mean that there were none along the way. She had to be careful no matter what!

9 firmly, but not tightly, holds 5's hand as he proceeds to the elevator

He doesn't get too close to it this time, but close enough to see what there is

9 prepares his stone armor and presses the button on the wall with a rock, he is standing 20 feet away

9 holds 5 tightly and jumps backwards, earth propelling him farther and faster beneath his feet (away from the elevator)

Eight suppressed a scream as she began to plummet towards the floor below. Her feet eventually hit a surface, and immediately instict kicked in and she rolled on her back, over her head, and back on her feet, staying on ehr legs while putting the fall's damage on all of her body to minimize the impact.

She huffed and frowned, taking notice of her surroundings.

Five clung onto Nine tightly as they made their way through the air. She knew that she couldn't die but she didn't know if she would recover from wounds like broken bones or lost limbs.

The second the floor opened, Three felt time slow again. Danger was indeed present. By instinct, he wanted not to go down, so he ran up the collapsing floor slope away from the elevator.

9 would recover from the jump, and would let 5 go when danger seemed to be out of the way

9 releases alot of dirt from his body and makes it slide into the hole with 8, it wraps around and under her legs and feet
"JUMP!"
he yells to her

(and if she does, she'd be sprung upward toward 9 and out of the hole)

9 is also leaning over to grab her hand to pull her up

6 had no time to react as he plummeted towards the ground. The breath was knocked from his lungs as he landed, hard, on the ground below. He groaned in pain.

"Ow..." he mumbled.
