Fragility of the Mind

Emir sighed and looked at both Gab and Raine in silence as Nicole gave him his beer, sitting down with him.

"So...." Nicole piped in, trying to make conversation. "How are you Gabrielle?" She asked, tilting her head at Gab.

Gabrielle snapped to attention as Nicole asked her the dreaded question. "Uhm, I'm fine, I guess." Personal things updating on her actual feelings made her jittery. "I haven't gotten a lot of sleep lately."

"Why?" Nicole asked, as Emir rested his eyes in his hands, looking frustrated. "Excuse me Ladies, I'll like to do something...I'll be back." Emir said tiredly, standing up and walking to his room.

Why?

No, seriously, why? Gabrielle looked at Nicole with one eye opened wider than the other. She put a hand to the side as she leaned in a more comfortable position. Even she did not know why in the world she was getting worked up. Perhaps the activity of her friends was having repercussions on her own mood.

"I guess it's because I can't sleep." She chuckled. "My power is umbrakinesis. I guess that naturally I'd be ore active in the dark and sleepy as hell during the day. I don't really like the sunlight but I hate closed spaces. I also don't like trouble but I hate being stagnant. It's funny."

"I see what you mean, mine's Vitakinesis. Sometimes just healing a scartch would just tire me out." Nicole said, putting her arm on the couch arm, giggling. "It's like a Catch 22." She said, smiling.


Emir walked to Udo's room, waving at TK and Udo.

"Guten Tag." He said, a attempt to speak german. "I-" He stopped, looking at Udo's face, sparking his brain:

"Wait....I think I know you before.....You're the german who had to take shots right?" He asked him, not noticing TK at all.

Udo nodded as he sat up. "It's nothing so complicated. Just focus of staying alive, I'll do, what I do."
He smiled before grabbing his phone again; little progress. "I think you could say being reckless has it's advantages, no?" He smiled as TK warmly. He felt she would agreed. How couldn't she; she, being so willing to risk her life for others. She thought it was worth the risk and so did Udo.

Udo's door opened as Emir stood in the threshold. Udo eyebrows arched in confusion at Emir's inquery.
"Excuse me?" He said.

Emir rest his hand to his forehead, his face in pain.

"You're that German that was on that gurney, getting those experimental blood serums, passing near my room?" He asked with difficulty.

Alevon finally enters the base, wearing a new black jacket and a pair of black jeans. He is wearing a red T-shirt, and there is a blu-tooth mic in his ear.

He walks into the base and looks around, taking in the sights before he goes and takes a seat, crossing his legs as he stares at the wall, waiting.

Maya is not with him.

Alevon looks at his watch and then puts his finger up to his mic and says something. He waits a minutes before he gets up and walks into the room where he was paralized.

He leans against the wall and waits

"It's not a Hositpal.....I already knew it when I was a child." Emir said angrily. "It's was a Science Facility....I've been researching the place when I was in the KGB, they had patient files on all of those kids.....then I saw your name...heh...didn't know I would meet you...coulda share some stories."

He took a deep breath and looked at Udo.
"The serums gave you the power, they were testing it if there was a nuclear war in WWIII. Sadly, they failed to make the power to revive nature, instead making it into Geokinesis. The serum was from other failed variants codenamed Eden. The purpose of course was to revive life out of nothing, such as fallout. As you can see.....it failed." He stopped abruptly, as if to catch his breath.

"It's already painful to remember my own past, I don't know why I'm telling you this....but...I think you have a right to know, to know what the hell happened in there..." He said, then becoming silent, his eyes a giant void.

"No problem I suppose.." Emir said, perterbed of him trying to cheer up TK, as Udo left, he scoffed. "He also didn't know what else happened to him, but now's not the time." He walked to TK and poked her bridge of her nose. "Boop. I need to talk to you."

"Udo seems to have a attraction to you, it's kinda obvious." Emir said. "And I'm only saying this because you and Videor are together."

Gabrielle sighed and elongated her position. "Vitakinesis, huh..." A smile crept on her lips. "That's the same power my boyfriend has. He works for the Red Cross. Sometimes I wish I were as useful as him." While she didn't look spiteful or jealous, she definitely seemed resined to her fate. "All I can do with my shadows is build to destroy, you see."
