Fragility of the Mind

(I actually posted this two pages earlier, but you never seem to have replied. So I'm reposting. )

Gabrielle sighed and elongated her position. "Vitakinesis, huh..." A smile crept on her lips. "That's the same power my boyfriend has. He works for the Red Cross. Sometimes I wish I were as useful as him." While she didn't look spiteful or jealous, she definitely seemed resined to her fate. "All I can do with my shadows is build to destroy, you see."

Nicole smiled with her, a sad smile. "At least you could defend yourself, all I have is Vitakinesis...I wish I was useful like Emir......" She sighed. "He's been protecting me before...well...you know..Though I never learn to defend myself at all...Feel kinda worthless you see."

TK caught Videor and held him warmly as she fought back tears. "Thank you Mike, we'll take care of Grim." With that TK walked to Udo, and smiled faintly, "Sorry, you're gonna have to sit this out. You're too careless and injured. You'll only get in the way. I could beat you up now if I wanted. I don't do well with listening." TK decided not to show her concern and rather sound bitchy instead, a cover up but its what she felt she needed to do.

"See you around Mike" TK called as she teleported with Udo back to the base. They were in the main bedroom where she glanced quickly at Raine, Nicole, and Gabrielle. TK laid Videor on a bottom bunk and set Udo on a bunk opposite of him.

She teleported back to Videor's side and knelt on the ground, gliding her fingers through his silver hair, "Viddy..." she called in worry. "I'm here...." TK looked over at Raine, "There's this evil yet interesting blood manipulator guy on the loose who needs to die. The blood itself is a killer and is attracted to heat. I was reckless earlier and almost died. You and Ariel are more fitted for the fight."

Nicole sighed and just left Gabrielle there. She walked to Emir and immediately asked,

"Can you train me in firearms?"

Emir looked at his sister, sipping his beer.

"Depends. I could train you in pistols, automatics if there's any....hell, I could train you in knifes if you like...." Emir said, grinning. "I'll teach you the basics, like field stripping, firing at targets and actually being calm at shooting at people."

"Uhh....thanks?" Nicole said. "I'm having second thoughts on this...I don't to harm people."

"Come on, you're in this already, there's no turning back.....Our purpose of our powers is to stop the Masterminds, besides you're need it since you're be the Field Medic..Just remember what our father said before he smacked our asses when we got in trouble..."

"May the Lord smile...."

"And the Devil have mercy." Emir finished sadly. "That....was my motto when I was a assassin, well anyways." Getting a Glock 18 from his belt, putting a silencer into the barrel and giving it to her "Wait here, gonna get some targets for you to shoot." and He walked out of the room.

She looked at him as he left, still sad of what her brother has become. Nicole puts her forefinger on the trigger, gripping the gun firmly as she waits for her brother.

Udo was fuming but did well to keep his frustrations buried within.
Injured!? In the way!? A stone leg and a migraine head-ache isn't an injury...
... What am I doing here?
"Ergnh." Udo grabbed his head as another sharp pain sparked in his mind; the bloody nose that followed left circular stains on his jeans, as drops tapped his leg. Udo could hardly see through screaming pain in his head, until yet again it was gone in an instant.
Damn, it. Everytime she does that, I get a bloody nose.

"It's never too late to make a change," Gabrielle said, revelling at the irony of her statement. she thought about her lover and about how much they missed each other. Despite having their ups and downs and at times unfair relationships (Lance clearly had the short end of the stick), Gabrielle knew that she was ready to let go of promiscuity if it were him. "I mean, if we've both managed to survive so far, it means we're at least doing something right, right?

"I don't know if--" She interrupted her very soft murmur as she watched Nicole go to Emir. Talking about something like firearms--she was making a woman out of herself. Smiling, Gabrielle turned her cell phone on and dialed her boyfriend's number.

"Hello Lance, how are you?"

(Fyi I'm skipping the convo because it's unimportant. Mooove along.)

Emir walked outside of his room, stopped as he looked at Gabrielle.

"Gab, what on earth are you doing?" He asked, then gasped sarcastically. "Are you spying on meh?"

Udo looked up with a blank expression, feeling slightly dizzy from the momentary head-ache.
"No promises." He jested for his eyes showed his compliance. For once he didn't feel up to a fight. I suppose it's one way to incapacitate me.

He leaned forward weakly and laughed as he looked at the blood stains on his pant leg.
"Heh, I just bought these pants." He said, still slightly dizzy.

"I'm not spying on you, I'm making sure your sister doesn't get herself in a guilt trip. that shit is terrible." She clasped her flip phone shut and shrugged. "I just called Lance. Hopefully this will be all done and over in two days, at least for me."

Emir shrugged.
"Cool, Besides I know Nicole is having a guilt trip right now...It's because of me anyways.." He walked past Gabrielle and came into the kitchen, trying to find empty cans.

Alevon speaks into his mic again, making his way to the elevator where he stops suddenly.
He stands there for a moment before receiving a sudden jolt, twitching hard once before turning back around and making his way over to where he heard Gabrielle and Emir.

He knocks on the door and peeks in slightly
"..hello? May I speak with you both for a moment?"

Emir came back from the kitchen with a bag of tin cans.

"Sure, I got time....What is it?"

Gabrielle's spine shivered straight, the hairs on her arms standing on edge like the needles of a porcupine. "Uhm, yes?" she said, trying her best not to act thunderstruck.

It was safe to say that she did not look forward to speaking with the two men.

She clutched the mobile phone in her hands and sat down after having went for the door. Gabrielle coughed, tilted her head, gave Alevon one scrutinizing glance, and asked, "What do you want to speak about?"

Alevon sucks in a deep breath and walks in quickly.

He suddenly hugs Gabrielle tightly
"...I'm sorry I said what I did...it was...wrong of me to do so, and I don't want to hurt my friends...I...sincerely appologize, Gabrielle..."

He closes his eyes as he holds her
