Fragility of the Mind

"When you stop talking like there's a rod shoved up your ass, then yes, I shall." Her smile was tight, something was off about Ariel. Her facial expressions, the way she talked, all off by a tick. Raine was wary.

Leana cursed silently to herself, wondering how this girl knew something was off. She relaxed slightly and said in a slightly warmer tone, "It's important."

Emir's ears seemed to move as it picked up Leana's sound-waves, which annoyed Emir himself.

"For fuck's sake, calm down! Mind pointing- Oh wait, that's my job!" Emir laughed, standing up and walking where Leana was.

Raine smiled, it was a sinister smile and she walked up to Ariel and said cheerfully, "are there more than two lobsters in the room, Ariel?" She hoped her test would go over right.

"Looks of it, Bitch." Emir replied, walking into the room his hands in his pant pockets. "And welcome back, I see that Leana is back so hoorah."

Leana blinked at the strange term.

'Uh...lobsters? Ariel, help me!'

Ariel was silent as Leana rubbed her neck nervously. She had no idea what to say.

"No!" 'Ariel' responded loudly. "No, none at all!" Then Leana turned to Emir and scowled.

'Damn him!'

"No hug? Or anything?" Emir pouted, then looked at Raine. "What about you? Hug?"

Raine's grin intensified as she hugged Emir, adding a simple pat on the back as she did so.

"There, hugging it out is a fun thing, no?" She then stepped back and kept alert at "Ariel" near her, she stepped back further making it look like an idling reflex.

"So, who's exactly asking me to do what?" she asked in a too sweet tone.

Emir leaned on the wall, yawning.

"Indeed, something about nullifying something."

Leana grumbled to herself but stopped when she realized that she had to keep up her façade.

"I don't know what you're talking about!" 'Ariel' responded. "I just need some help."

Raine stopped smiling then and turned to face "Ariel." Her gaze then turned sour and she said with a hint of annoyance, "I know who you are but I don't know you. Emir just filled in the blank for me but Leana," she said her name with emphasis, "please put Chuckles on the line, I'd like to have a chat with her." She smirked.

"You're welcome." Emir grumbled. "Though seriously, what are you trying to do Leana? so much secrecy for nothing you know?" He asked Leana, quirking his brow.

Leana frowned. Then she looked at Emir and said, "I can't say." Then she told Ariel to come out.

'She's not listening to me. You try.'

Leana shivered for a moment before opening her eyes, the brightness in them seemingly faded. She looked at Raine and then at Emir. She greeted them both and said, "You needed me, Raine?"

"Oh, nah, just wanted to see you do that once." She smiled, gesturing Ariel to lead her where she wanted to go.

"Neat little trick you got there though, but if you want me to get my nullifying groove on you better lead the way."

Ariel sighed and retreated back into her mind, allowing Leana to lead. She wanted no part of what was going on, though she would still try to convince her other half to stop.

"Alright, follow me," Leana said as she walked into an empty room. Then she mentally called for Videor.

'Hey man, I need your help.'
