He'd expect to suffer.
Udo held his resolve in high esteem, yet it wasn't enough to convince him. Udo had almost succeeded in convincing himself TK was better off not hear what Udo thought of her; she was better off thinking that he didn't care. But whether she knew it or not Udo planned on waiting in the winds like a lion protects its pride and should Videor ever faulter, like Udo believed he had tonight, then Udo would be ready to pick up the slack. He wouldn't deny to himself that he still placed gaurding her life a charge he owed her; and he blamed himself for not being prepared for the worst this night.
Udo took a deep breath and looked to the sky; another welcome distraction. The endless void was a masterpiece, a wonder, a gift, a cypher into the future, and to Udo freedom. As a child he could lose himself to the void for hours; tonight it calmed his nerves. He continued walking but for the most part his focus was the sky. | |

| TK struggled to sit up in Videor's arms as best as she could. Her baby stopped the nagging tug at her insides for the moment, giving TK some relief. She looked around and spotted Ariel, alone. TK's heart sank, she knew how much Ariel and Leana cared for Gabrielle, she felt like she was looking at Josh and Emir all over again from 10 years ago. | |

She didn't feel like forming coherent replies in her head. Maybe she was simple-minded like that. If Yiaraw was trying to read her mind, all he would hear were small bouts of French and, mostly, static. | |

| Udo would return to the base and retreat to the room he claimed in the base. He shuffled around in his limited possessions, deciding at somepoint more investment in this place as a residence would be needed.
After plugging his relatively unused cellphone into it's charger, he sat on the bed and slipped his shoes off. His attention went instantly to his newly restored leg, and it's current frail condition. He smirked, still grateful that he had his old leg back; though waiting on the rehabilitation of the leg was still a daunting task.
Udo layed back on the bed comfortably and placed his hands behind his head. With a sigh he shut his eyes, ready to sleep the remaining time until France away.
What a waste., he thought back on plans with Gabrielle now ruined.
Slowly, he calmed his mind through mental imagery of the nightsky, featureless wilderness, and the like, and he drifted to sleep. Where he would remain until morning. | |

| Gabrielle closed her eyes as her shoulders dropped in resignation. "I'm not going to sleep at the base again," she said to anybody who listened to her. "If you want to talk to me then call my cellphone. I'll be back in my apartment in Kansas."
It was a longshot, teleporting back to her apartment after needlessly tiring herself, but she didn't feel like talking. "See you next morning."
She left the restaurant after Ariel and put her hands in her pockets. After breathing in the sharp Michigan air she teleported away, back to her little comfort zone. | |

She straighted herself and nodded to Gabrielle as she watched her leave. TK sighed and began walking out of the restaurant. If Udo could walk, if Ariel could walk, so could she.
"Headed back to the base mom." She messaged to Grace.
