also, i've kind of been having an issue with kissanime recently: some days it works just fine, then the next i get a message telling me to turn off adblocker, and then a few days later it goes back to normal

Aaand I apparently get really manic and creative when my head is in a dark place

As some of you know, I have long hair. I like it that way. But for years now, I have had to keep it to a certain length, because my workplace was super-conservative and my boss was kind of a dick about it- seriously, my direct superior has offered on multiple occasions to cut my hair for my when I haven't had the time to go out and get my hair cut by my usual stylist. Honestly, it really pissed me off, because i want to grow my hair out more

well, back in october, we changed companies. One of the first policies i looked at besides the safety stuff was the attire and appearance section. Much to my surprise and delight, there was no regulation on hair- all that you need to do is make sure it is clean and well-kept.
so, i've been growing my hair out since then, and i've kind of been quietly waiting for someone to say something.

Today, I just said fuck it and put my hair in a ponytail before i went in for work

I got a couple of comments on how good it looked (fairly certain some were sarcastic, but whatever), but none of the managers said anything to me
finally, with about an hour left in my shift, my manager comes over and says that a) it looks good and b) ponytails are allowed now

which, hey, great. kind of already knew that, but great. But the way she kind of avoided me for the first part of my shift and disappeared to talk to the HR person makes me think they were trying to get me in trouble over it

today, this battle is won. Tomorrow? well, we'll see when we get there
