Fragility of the Mind

Gabrielle didn't flinch. She did, however, turn around with her wrist tense, ready to fling a punch at whoever was behind her. Seeing as it was somebody she did not recognize, she didn't hesitate and gave him a backhanded blow to the face.

Ariel sighed.

"Come on, we'll get back to the base and get something to eat," Ariel said. She started on her way, not looking back to see if Raine was actually following her. She yawned again, quite tired; she hadn't gotten much sleep.

Though as expected, He got desk duty again. Emir groaned as he arrange papers into large boxes and typing records for reference.

Gabrielle tensed up her shoulders, seeing Saul, then jumped back a little. "What? What do you want from me?" she asked rather dumbly, not having seen him at the party or anywhere else. All she knew was that the last time she saw him, he had apparently willed Alevon to die, and that didn't help a whole lot. He was more talkative too. "And since when can you shapeshift?"

Gabrielle furrowed her brow and relaxed a little. She knew she was dealing with a shmancy mind-controller or whatever, so she figured that if he was going to control her, he might've done so from the start. "Erm... It's nothing personal, but you can just call me 'Gab'. I don't really like being called 'Gabby', if you know what I mean."

Then she stepped to the side a little awkwardly, and began to think. "Kate's at the Unhonorables base as usual. I could probably send a shadow dog or whatever to get her, but..." She digged in her back pocket and took out her cell phone. "Or I could just call her. Your pick."

Emir fell asleep on a file, spit oozing on the pages and his desk. He need something to shoot at, or something that a deputy would do....except desk duty.

Gabrielle was surprised at the sudden infiltration into her mind, but nodded. She told herself that if he could read her thoughts he'd best stay out of the intimate bits. "How about a coffee shop?"

Emir left the police station, all he's gonna do is do desk duty anyways, so he decided to go home, going to his car and sped away before the chief got him.

Emir came back home, TK hearing the car going up the driveway and being parked.

He walked to the front door, fiddling inside his pockets to find the house key.

Emir opened the door, yawning as he sat down with Akihiro.

"Hey, Aki." Emir said, slouching in the couch and watching TV with him.

Emir stand up and walked to his room, going to wear his casual suit.
