Fragility of the Mind

Emir looked around, seeing anyone who would train with him.

Ryan straightens himself and thoughtfully places his hand on his chin
"...so you say your boss is evil? ...how hypocritical..."

"Oof!"

Gabrielle pried her way free by sheer dexterity, just in time to avoid having her skin ripped off by the wind. She teleported behind TK, thinking that would always be the safest place to be. However, she felt like she was beginning to have her abilities drained, which was showed by the shattering of the blade in her hand almost simultaneously.

She grit her teeth and, giving TK one of her crazy grins, sent four panthers for her back.

Ryan inhales and he is clearly PO'ed. A spire of ice forms around his right arm
"How dare y-"
He stops

"...no...I see what you're d-"
He does a doubletake at his right arm

"What the...HEY! What'd you do to my powers! You cheat...stooping as low as to use a nullifier"

The spire is clearly there and fully intact

"Wow... that's... uh... interesting!" Gabrielle said loudly as she teleported one last time and sent herself a gust of cool air to regulate her skyrocketing body temperature. She breathed out steam, which seemed to incite her to go on even further. "Surprise, surprise!"

A bear with blades attached to its limbs--more fetish object than actual animal, especially when pitch black--flickered to TK's left. Letting out a taunting roar, it lunged towards her.

It eventually got close enough to rip her to shreads. In fact, it would've seemed to do that if it weren't for Gabrielle suddenly making it disappear. "Okay, that's enough, I'm beat," Gabrielle said in-between short gasps for air. She staggered to a chair and sat down there, wiping her wet forehead.

"I've gotten out of practice," she admitted.

"If you really don't know then you have my pity." Raine rummaged through drawers and dragged her feet across the floor. She didn't want to go train, she wasn't much of a fighter, and her powers weren't much for the offensive. Sure she was well versed in the ways of self-defence but that was about it. Raine didn't care much about her life either, it had pretty much ended with Jon's death.

"Go train with TK and all them if you'd like," she suggested, staring at the wall, not moving.

"I might just go watch to get rid of this boredom, though it most likely won't help."

Ryan snaps his vision back to the wall
"You know what I meant. Now allow them to return, coward."

Yia reached for his phone after it alerted him of the message. He saw TK's message and replied slowly.
You sure I won't just be in the way? Yia texted back.

Yia looked at her text with a sad look in his eyes. He was useless, he couldn't use any abilities. Not only that but Ryan was probably right, he was a jerk, asking TK for her to teleport when she just heard the bad news.
He lays back down and stared at the roof.

Yia looked at her text and slowly texted back. Probably not...

Ryan makes a lunge at an unseen assailant, straight at TK, making a horizontal slash that slices at TK's back (though not deep), drawing blood

Ryan turns and looks at TK, wide-eyed
"...no...I didn't mean to...I was aiming for...."
He trails off, looking at his spire, with a strand of TK's hair still in it from the Alevon assassination

"Who were you talking to, Ryan?" Gabrielle asked him slowly, articulating like her life depended on it.

Ryan seems to be panicking a little, seeing that he hit TK
"TK...no...I....I'm sorry...I was...."
He trails off again, the ice melting
