Fragility of the Mind

Raine smiled, directing her words to Emir, "Oh baby, I can't even begin to tell you."
She then laughed at Ryan's comment.

"Too bad, always wanted to meet one. Not in the freaky body-snatchers way though, that's just super crazy."

Emir snorted, getting a cigarette from his suit pocket and began to light it.

"Anyone interested in Cars? Anyone?" He asked, puffing smoke into the room.

Ariel sat on her bed quietly, listening to the conversation. She didn't know what to say and felt exhausted, though she didn't want to ruin this quiet meeting with her friends.

"I don't not like them," Ariel said, at least trying to contribute something.

"You be missing out then." Emir said with boredom, flicking his cigarette on a random corner of the room.

"Fine, We can talk about sex since all of us would be this awkward."

Ariel blinked a few times and looked at her bed, fidgeting with the sheets. She didn't say anything, instead waiting for someone else to talk.

"Overrated," Raine said simply, quickly clambering down from the bed and sitting beside Emir, she grabbed a cigarette and poised her hand at her lips with the smoke touching them.

"I could use a light though, that's not very overrated now is it."

"Gotta kill a interesting topic..." Emir muttering, putting his hand on his forehead.

"Haha, well, technically I'm still a virgin. I've been to busy in my life for anything like that..."
He trails off, his smiles dropping a bit as his own statement sinks in
He looks at the floor

"Lost the V-card when I was sixteen. About around the time where I ran away to LA," Gabrielle cited. "It's not that bad, but it's much more exciting on paper and in the movies than in between the sheets." Gabrielle stretched boredly.

TK smiled at Yia, then looked down at Grace and rolled her eyes, "You had me WORRIED! What were you thinking about anyway?"

(sneer* not sneeze)

Yia continued to look between Grace and TK.

"When you were sixteen? ...I don't recall..."
He trails off and sighs

"Oh well...anyone else have anything interesting to add?"
He forces another smile

...after beating the sudden burst of depression, I think this may be going better than planned...

"You don't recall?" Gabrielle insisted as she raised an eyebrow. She wanted to play with this guy a little. "What don't you recall?"

"I don't recall having an interesting life around the age of sixteen..."
He sighs

...what does it matter...

"...and it seems you have"

"I have come to realize I was an idiot in the past," Gabrielle said rather bluntly. "You aren't missing out on much, seriously."

"Well...I didn't have any friends either..."

He shakes his head

"Sorry...ANYways..."
He smiles and closes his eyes, rubbing the back of his head
"What now?"

Ariel coughed and stayed quiet. She didn't really feel like adding to the conversation, instead opting to listen to what her friends had to say.

Emir also became silent, twiddling his thumbs.

"Uhm," Gabrielle began to shift her gaze around her friends' faces, realizing they weren't in it as much as she was. "I guess that's not how you start a conversation," she said with a submitted tone of voice.

She wasn't used to being the one who's desperately trying to pull a party out of the swamp of awkwardness. "Is... Tia OK? I mean, seeing as Ariel was fighting her--oh..." She turned to Ariel. "I'm glad to see you got out of that alright. Uh... er."

Ariel shifted her gaze towards Gabrielle, tapping her fingers beneath the covers.

"Y-Yeah," she started. "Thanks." She smiled slightly. "It was tough but I managed to get out of it in one piece."
