Fragility of the Mind

(just for the record, he wasn't holding her in the bed)

Alevon sits upright and leans forward slightly, keeping this position for awhile , eyes locked on the bed at his feet, his thoughts running smoothly for once yet still moving quickly and precisly. His eyes narrow.


I never took my eyes off of Videor, not once. Even while he was in that hotel room, I was able to sense his and Nicole's powers....

Alevon turns and swings his legs off the side of the bed

His illusions couldn't work on me at that time, and I saw him the entire time...and the time I didn't see him, I saw TK...

Alevon puts his hand on his chin and looks down, deep in thought


TK left for about two hours...but that was about the time that Videor was in the hotel with Nicole...his illusions couldn't effect me...I know who I saw...so what time is left for them to have met in real life and-

His eyes snap open

They DIDN'T meet in real life! So...either they did it with Videor as an illusion, or...he lied to me...AGAIN!!!
Both of Alevon's eyes turn red and glow slightly and he clenches his fists

...not once did they meet in real life...I know this because I saw one or the other in the flesh the entire time, leaving no possible openings.

Alevon shakes his head

Well then...

He looks over to Maya, and thinks deeply

I have to talk to TK...and that is that.

Alevon stands up and makes a duplication of himself that's crawls back in bed. The. Other Alevon then teleports directly to TK's room as yet another duplication teleports elsewhere.

Alevon knocks on her door.

(Yeah, he was holding Maya while they were being driven back to Nebraska. And he slept with her too, though they didn't do anything, he still slept with her )

TK sits up in bed and looks down the bunker, seeing Emir asleep and looked around and Ariel and Gabrielle.

Who could be knocking of all times? It matters not...

She looked down at Emir sleeping once more and smiled at him before she curled up on the top of the bunk once more and closed her eyes, catching some sleep.

Alevon waits until the door is answered, as he knows that TK is in the room

After changing flights at John F Kennedy International, and all the intrusive screening procedures that accompanied it, Udo took a second to notice how large the United States were. He had already spent nearly half a day on an international flight, and he still had a short flight on a charter jet to reach Indianapolis. He looked out the viewport at the foot prints of bustling cities scattered among the North American woodlands. It was a sight to behold.

The flight took a little over an hour, after he was proccessed. He was finally free to walk around, stretch his legs; he wanted to run, but it wasn't possible at the moment. He exited the terminal with a favored limp in his right leg, despite his best efforts to hide his condition. His leg was stiff and from a glance it seemed an effort to even bend his knee. He made no attempts to draw attention to himself as he quickly headed towards the car rental service in the airport.
"I have a reservation for a Jan Schuller." He said sliding his flight information and the rental invoice he'd recieved when making his reservations. He wore a red, yellow, and black jacket, a Red Bull fitted cap, and black sunglasses. The courier did a double take before looking back at her screen.
The courier pulled up his reservation information. "Ah, yes. Mr. Schuller." After printing another invoice, asking for Udo's signature, and filing the documents, the courier presented Udo with his keys. "A shuttle will take you to the rental lot. Just wait for it outside."
"Danke." Udo returned before grabbing his bag from the ground next to him.
"Have a nice day." The courier finished.

Outside, Udo breathed in the cold northern air. It reminded him of home; his first impression of the city reminded him of Frankfurt's bustling streets. The shuttle hadn't arrived yet but Udo was getting restless. Signs around the carport clearly marks the direction of the rental lot. Udo was feeling a little adventurous and rather than wait, he would walk; to take in the nearby sights; to absorb some American culture.

Alevon waited outside of TK's room, sitting to the side of the room, watching the elevator in case anyone came down...who, he had no idea, but because of his reputation and such, he didn't want to take any chances...but one thing was for sure, he had to speak with TK.

Alevon feels his arms through his jacket...the tiny bumps all over him now being back once more...he had gotten used to them not being there, but now it seems that they're back for good. He wondered what TK would think of them...

He looked to the other doors.
Come to think of it, he wondered what everyone else was going to think of him now...oh well...regardless of what they think, he is Alevon Drey, and that is who he will always be.

He looks through his jacket, seeing if there was anything in there, being that he hasn't bothered to look in some time. He finds a lighter, a box of toothpicks, a couple candy wrappers, a receipt for a sheet of rubber, a jawbreaker, and an acorn. He looks down at the receipt and shakes his head, shoving it back in his pocket, and he pops the jawbreaker into his mouth...flavorless, considering that it's about two years old.

Gabrielle's little walk for fresh-air came to a stop when she realized she had gotten too far away from her nightly creatures. Inside, the woman's eerily identical silhouette phased away in a split second, leaving a spotless floor and a mop to fall to the ceramic floor.

She sighed, deciding it was about time to go back. The young lady turned her heels and went down the elevator, then out of the stuffy compartment, coming face-to-face with Alevon. She opened her mouth in surprise and breathlessly said, "I thought you were in Nevada, Alevon."

(there's a door past the elevator that leads to said room, lol, he's outside of that one)

He rolls the jawbreaker around in his mouth for a second before saying
"Yeah, I was...but I'm better now, so here I am"
he smiles a bit, his red and blue eyes seeming to shimmer slightly in the light

(right eye is red, left is blue, if you missed that part)

Ariel looked around and sighed, feeling tired. She wanted to go back outside but she didn't feel like moving at all. She wondered if TK or Raine were around so they could teleport or portal her to the outside. She stood up and decided to look for them.

"TK? Raine?" she started, "Where are you guys?"

Gabrielle jolted to attention once she noticed her associate's heterochromatic eyes. "Are you sure?" She narrowed her eyes a little, but didn't insist. Merely a second after she asked her question, she followed her speech with, "Sorry. You're probably here to talk to TK, no?" She didn't make it sound pretentious, protective or defiant--at least she hoped she didn't.

"Well, I'm here to be with the group again. Talk to her, yes, but that's not going to happen for..."

Alevon leans back and stares into space for a moment before going back to his original position and looking at Gabrielle again

"...about six hours, most likely"

He moves the jawbreaker around in his mouth some more, chewing on it occasionally

He brushes the hair out of his face

Ariel glanced up at TK before staring straight ahead, her dark eyes half closed. She grunted a reply.

'It feels like someone is here.'

"Can you take me back to that spot we were at before?" she asked tiredly.

Ariel didn't reply, but instead pulled a small pack of cigarettes out of her pocket and took one out. She put it to her lips, the end lit as soon as she did so. She put the pack away and took a long inhale, blowing a great deal of smoke out as she exhaled.

"Just needed to do this..." Ariel said half-heartedly, staring up at the sky.

Alevon leans his head back on the wall, but still looking at Gabrielle, he says
"What's up?"

Gabrielle shrugged. "Not a lot." she glanced at Alevon with a serious look in her eyes. "TK is probably still awake, so if you don't actually feel like waiting you can just go and talk to each other. I think it's OK." She smiled comically and passed by him, pushing the door handle down. "In the meantime I'm going to sleep." She opened the door and walked through.

She scowled as she saw that Ariel and TK were missing yet again. So much for being a reliable source of information.

Alevon smiles and calls to her just loud enough for her to hear
"It's alright"

Ariel looked back at TK, her eyes lidded. She took the cigarette out of her mouth and blew out a ring of smoke.

"Didn't know you smoked, TK," Ariel commented.

Alevon strums his fingers on his lap...he was used to doing this, but at least before he was in the forest where he could hear and see things interesting

...oh well...at least Gabrielle seems to have accepted me back, that's a plus...

Alevon thinks back to Maya in his temporary room

...I wonder if she'd accept being my pupil....since we share so many similar opinions, she should be the one I choose to replace me if I die....jeez...I'm twenty four and I still havn't chosen anyone yet....maybe she can be my adoptive daughter...who knows....

He bites on the jawbreaker relatively hard

"Heh," Ariel chuckled quietly, turning her head to look at a nearby tree. She kept her gaze on it as she replied, "I felt like someone had arrived. You think it's Alevon? If it is I hope he acts civil." She then tapped the cigarette and watched as the ash slowly fell to the ground. Then she looked back at TK, her face serious.

"You really need to decide what you're going to do, TK. I would give you some advice but I don't know all the facts yet." Ariel looked away after and continued to smoke.
