Fragility of the Mind

Udo proceeded down the sidewalk with light-hearted amusement. The surrounding city was alive around him. At his earliest chance he stopped at a small convenient store and purchased a soft-drink and a pack of cigarettes. After leaving and lighting up, Udo made his way to the rental lot. It was dark by the time he'd arrived, but walking large distances was something most german citizen were accustomed to. Udo was barely winded when he reached his assigned car and slid the key in the lock. The sleak American import Jaguar released its locking mechanism with a click and Udo slid inside, taking time to carefully move his bummed leg. The car started up with a purr, and Udo dropped the car into reverse and pulled out of his spot. The engine growled through the low rpms before he gained speed and merged with the highway traffic.

It took him a moment to get used to driving on the right side of the road, but other than that, he felt at home behind the wheel again. The car responded to every twitch of his foot on the gas pedal and Udo buzzed through traffic, attempting to ask the company equiped GPS system for directions to the nearest hotel. The device was having difficulty deserning the English hidden behind Udo's thick accent, and Udo was becoming frustrated and worst of all, distracted. So much so that he didn't notice the traffic light change in front of him. He crossed the thresh-hold just a frieght-liner pulled into traffic. The truck's breaks screeched as he tried to stop, but he still clipped Udo's car as he passed. Tires squealed as Udo lost control, slidding into the oncoming lane. The front-right of his car slammed into a car waiting helplessly before the light. The impact caused Udo's car to flip over the parked car in a violent twisting roll.

The car bounced and slammed on the asphault as it continued to roll. Every thunderous impact rocked Udo with numbing pain until all was still and silent. All he could hear was the hiss of water vapor evaporating off the engine block, and the drips of fluids hitting the road. The faint sound of sirens could be heard in the distance as Udo whited-out.

Udo was lying lifelessly in a hospital bed where his thoughts and dreams were causing his gift to run rampant around him. Udo had wanted to stay under the radar, and now thanks to his carelessness, the racing world now knew where their lost driver had run to; not that he had any notion of his situation.

Alevon swirls the jawbreaker around his mouth for a bit before he decides to take his lighter out and mess with it. He lights it and waves his hand over the flame a couple times in order to amuse himself

Ariel glanced at TK from the corner of her eye, exhaling slowly. She narrowed her eyes but said nothing.

(the most recent is Alevon talking to Videor, just so everyone is clear on that)

Alevon looks at the receipt and considers burning it, but doesn't for obvious reasons

Ariel looked straight at TK, her eyes wide. The cigarette fell out of her mouth and landed on the ground though she barely paid attention to it. She shifted her gaze to the ground then, utterly speechless at what she saw. A million things went through her head at that moment.

'TK and Videor had sex...? And Alevon found out and he... Oh my God... He's lost his powers now! And he wanted to kill himself? And who was that girl? A new girlfriend? What?'

Ariel swallowed hard, trying to make sense of everything. She shook her head slowly and then asked in a low voice, "TK...what did I just see?"

Ariel stared at her feet, trying to sort through the thoughts buzzing around in her head.

"How could you sleep with Videor?" she asked quietly. She didn't mean to be accusatory but it shocked her. "You barely know him TK... And what happened with Alevon? He tried to kill himself..." She trailed off, looking at the trunk of a dead tree close by. She didn't know what to make of the situation. At all.

Emir woke up, feeling dizzy from the dreams that keep recurring. surprisingly he's seem alright and thinks it some acid trip hangover he's coming on. If an acid trip hangover ever existed. He stand up, shaking his head like he's having a seizure and looked at Gabrielle.

"Hey Cracker, what's crackin'?" Emir asked her, cracking his neck and standing up.

"I'm not a cracker," Gabrielle mumbled. "I'm a crackhead." Despite what she said, she didn't exactly remember the last time she took any. She cleared her throat and pointed to the door behind her. "See for yourself, what's cracking."

Alevon stands up, stretching
"Wow, I have no idea why I'm so restless..oh well, let's meet the group for a second time..."
He bites roughly on the jawbreaker and it explodes in his mouth, the pieces of it being absorbed into the sides of his mouth. He walks up to the doorway which Gabrielle had just walked through and he leans on it, putting his hand out as a bottle of hard vodka drops out of thin air into his hand...he takes a swig, absorbing the alcohol. Despite the fact that he enjoys tasting things for once, he doesn't want alcohol in his system.

"What's up"

Ariel sighed and rubbed the back of her head roughly, tilting her head down with her eyes closed.

"This is so fucked..." she mumbled. She didn't usually swear like that, but it was true. This situation that she now found herself in was just like something out of a high school drama. She lifted her head and looked to the side, exhaling slowly. Then she looked back at her friend.

"I still can't believe you pulled a stunt like that," she started, "But you're my best friend TK, and if this is what you want then I'm going to support you. Even if it is batshit insane," she finished with a grin.
