Fragility of the Mind

"Oh really? ...and here I thought you wanted the spot."

He rewinds time to when the gas hit Samuel, both in the same positions as he jumps down, and not a moment after he lands, unleashing a devastating wave of energy in a wall shape that would decimate everything in front of him.

Time is rewound to just as Samuel was behind Alevon, and Alevon elbows Samuel in the nose as hard as possible, having stopped time before the rewind was up, essentially countering a counter move Samuel may have been able to do.

(keep in mind this is playing on the news )

"Damn, Alevon's a beast." Emir yelled, pointing at the TV.

Ariel walked over to the television screen and watched the battle between Alevon and Samuel.

"Dammit... What does he think he's doing?" she mumbled to herself.

Alevon reverses time, and using the high-powered pistons in his feet, bounds straight up, just before the suit would have exploded...and guess who was behind Alevon? ;)

Alevon thrusts backward on top of the building, panting from exaustion

"Don't know....." Emir said, feeling hopeless in this situation.

Ariel glanced up, extremely confused and surprised at TK's sudden announcement and the fact that Alevon was back.

"Uh...what?" she asked.

Alevon stumbles over and leans over, hands on his knees, his helmet sucks back, showing his face as his long black hair falls out, his mouth is open and he is breathing deeply from using his power so much in the past half hour, feeling as though the trip was in vain...

The suit then dissipates and is replaced by a matching set of grey 'underarmor' (underarmor is a kind of clothing, thin material, long sleeved)

Alevon's entire body is covered in scars, save for his ead and hands...these scars are all tattooed over, making for a rather complex design all over his body

Alevon's eyes suddenly snapped forward

...the blood?

"Thanks...."
He says to TK, standing upright finally as his back pops in more than one place

Alevon slams his fist against the wall and props himself upon it with his arms, head hung

"...so....close..."

Alevon reaches into his pocket and pulls out the ring fragments, holding them in front of himself, but so TK could see as well

"What more shall be taken from me, TK? First my freedom, then my love, then shattered is the only keepsake I have, and now my blood is to be taken as well?!"
He yells, balling his fist around the fragments, pummeling the wall once more, he then turns around to face her, his eyes still glowing a firy red from the battle

Alevon feels Maya hold him, but it doesn't register in his mind, as his mind is racing at the fact that he could have killed a powerful enemy, but was not able to, and now this situation...still staring into TK's eyes, his left eye slowly fades back to blue as his breathing slows and his heartrate goes down

Ariel grimaced at Alevon's childish display. She wanted to say something but decided against it, allowing TK to fight her own battles. She knew her friend could handle it.

"Yeah...also...we need to find Raine soon, Videor...you're the only one who knows where she is..." she replied and opened her mouth slightly to bite the toast but turned away, ashamed of how shaky she still was from her earlier experiences with Samuel, and then Tim.

Alevon knicks his left forearm with his thumbnail, observing as black blood begins to drip out. He licks from the bottom of the cut to the top, near his hand, and licks his lips.

...it seems they are correct...that blood has fused with mine...and it seems to have replaced most of it in my body...

"To remove that much blood from my body....would mean death..."
He whispers to himself, thinking aloud

Alevon shakes his head and wraps his arms around Maya

...what is this life? Is it really a life worth living?

He opens his eyes and clears his throat, staring at the ground

"What now, then?"

he says quietly to the people in the room in general

...is it possible that she regrets giving it to me?

"Don't know yet, but first order of business is to talk to my long lost sister that I mistakenly thought I killed 10 years ago." Emir said, grabbing Nicole's arm and walking outside dragging her. "Excuse me."
