Fragility of the Mind

Ariel smiled as she saw her friend so happy.

"Yeah yeah," she said, "Just help me with my relationship, huh?" She winked, nudging TK in the side.

Ariel grinned and nodded.

"Yeah, let's go back now," she said. "I've had my once-in-a-blue-moon smoke so I'm good now."

Alevon swirled the alcohol around the bottle and looked up to see TK, still leaning on the doorway. He says nothing as he continues to swirl it around in his hand, waiting for her to say the first words. His eyes eminate a deep energy about them as he watches TK.

Ariel stretched and yawned, flopping onto her bed. She stared at the top bunk and thought to herself about what she was shown earlier. It felt strange having seen that situation, but it helped her to understand some things. She just hoped that TK knew what she was getting into.

"We keep disappearing, huh TK?" she asked, rolling onto her side.

Alevon takes a drink and looks at TK, both eyes turning blue after what she said
"I just came to tell you all that Videor was kind enough to help me out, and that I'm back with you guys. I'm relieved that I'm able to see you all again, especially you, Tsinanae"
He says, partially pointing to her with the hand holding the bottle before taking another swig

Alevon stays calm and collected
"Ah...yes, I found out about your intimate moment with Videor. I was in a rather distraught mood when all of that was going on...and since then I have re-collected my thoughts and have deduced that you could not have slept with him in the flesh, and thus my accusation was false"
His eyes remain blue, showing that what he says is correct

He takes another swig, the bottle is nearly half gone

Alevon shakes his head a little, eyes closed as he represses a burp
"...no no, he did. You see, he had lied to me and betrayed me many times. As per the usual practice, I kill after the first or second major betrayal...but I decided to give him another chance each time due to his circumstances...I can see it was a mistake. I promise to rescue him, and he wins the only person that meant the world to me over...I rescue him and then he says he won't go after you anymore, yet he does anyway...and I get him a girlfriend of whome which he says he loves, and had sex with, and then goes and has illusion sex with you."

He is swaying back and forth as he makes each point, emphasizing each one, finally stopping with the last and looking straight into TK's eyes on the last few words

He takes a swig and raises a finger
"...now I take relationships very seriously...and since you are someone who I hold dear, I will share this with you...as a lover, you are making a mistake. Now, I know I've made mine, and we all know where that got me"


He motions to himself and leans to the side a little, talking about Videor

"...but you aren't in it yet. You havn't messed up to the point of no return TK. Listen and listen well...a relationship should always be taken slow, no matter how you feel about the other person. You have to get to know them first....even if you know their entire past, you still have not been with that person yet, truly experienced them for yourself. From what I see, what you're doing now will only bring you more pain. I will not get in the way of your decisions, because you are a grown woman, Tsinanae, but I can't sit by and say nothing while I see one I so love about to destroy their own life...whether you accept this information or not is up to you...but just know that I will always be there for you, even if not as your lover"
He smiles, eyes still deep blue

Alevon looks down at TK and his eyes shift back to red and blue, instead of just blue.
He slowly walks up to TK and looks down at her...after standing there for a moment, he wraps his arms around her and says quietly in her ear
"I love you, and nothing will change that....and because I know this is true, I have to let you go, if you truly want to be with someone else, then it is not my place to stop you...I've lived alone before and I can do it now...please don't worry about me, Tsinanae...and be careful, whatever you do, just be careful, and make absolutely sure that you do what you're absolutely sure you know, in your heart, that you want to do...I don't want you to get hurt, ever again..."
He closes his eyes and savors what will likely be the last hug he will ever share with her

"Well..."
He began, looking down, not at TK, but at the ground

"...I was planning on asking Maya to be my adopted daughter...you see, I've been needing to get an apprentice for several years now, but I never got the offer...I was hoping for a male, but with Maya's attributes, this is too good to pass up. I know she likes me in another way, but I hope she understands how I feel about this, and accepts being my apprentice..."
He chuckles and closes his eyes
"...after all, when the entire world hates you, you kind of run the risk of dying all of a sudden...so I need someone to carry on my wishes after I die...I was going to ask you if you were alright with her being our adopted daughter, if you and I had gotten back together, but I suppose that isn't necessary now..."
He takes another drink and looks to the side

"I don't know...I havn't asked her yet..."
Alevon says quietly

"I wanted to check with you first, just to be sure before I make any regretable decisions..."
He takes a long and hard drink, allowing his arm to swing a little as he lowers it again, looking down once more before closing his eyes

"I know that...but I've learned from past experiences that doing what I feel is right, is not always right...hardly ever is, actually..."
He slowly walks over to the bunk to his right and looks at his bottle, leaning against the bunk

"...especially with relationships, it seems...figures that I learned that too late it seems..."

He carelessly, limpwristed, lets the bottle roll out of his hand and before it touches the floor, it goes into a dark hole that appears in the air. It closes as soon as the bottle is gone.

Alevon leans against the wall, staring into space between TK and the floor in front of him

Alevon pulls out a toothpick from his pocket and puts it in his mouth, the urge to chew on something growing unbarable
"...I'll never let them get to you, Tsinanae..."
is all Alevon says, eyes closed, leaning against the wall

Alevon nods a little, understanding. He moves from the wall and walks over to TK, taking the toothpick from his mouth and sticking the clean end into hers, making sure that he didn't poke her with it

"Then I will protect your mother as well..."
he says, looking down at her

"...and don't worry, it's clean..."
He adds quietly about the toothpick
