Alevon catches it and eyes the back Samuel was holding, and raises an eyebrow at him

Alevon stares at him for a moment before turning back around and clumsily walking back with it in his hands. Once in the room, he walks forward, and goes into a kneeling position beside Maya, preparing the device, silent

"Not to stay in France," she replied, smirking. "Ever since I came here I've had nothing but trouble, so yeah." For some reason she was fascinated with the creaky elevator's walls.

"My parents were journalists. My mom wrote an article about you. Your name's Udo Weber and you speak German, so I pretty much put the pieces together," she explained, even though she wasn't asked. "i think I don't need to explain what you did back there. But whatever, that doesn't mean a lot to me."

After the elevator ground to a halt, she tugged the door open. "It's none of my business, but I hope I can get to be your friend. You don't seem to be a bad guy."

Alevon primes the paddles in the defibulator set and rubs them together
"Clear"
He says casually before putting them to Maya's chest, pumping electricity into her

Alevon looks down at Maya with the same neutral face, and places the padles down, putting his head to her chest, listening for any changes in heart rate

Alevon sat up and looked down at her for a moment, deep in thought before he leans down next to her head and whispers
"Maya, can you hear me? If you can, try to wake up, please..."

Alevon picks the paddles back up and looks down at Maya

...don't do it...I know what you're thinking, In...don't...what if it kills her?

...which would you prefer? If we try this, then it will work for sure either way. We can rewind time and stop this from happening.

...no...I'm sorry...but just no...

Alevon then drops the paddles and he grabs his head in distress, clenching his eyes shut, throwing himself back and forth on his knees violently for a few moments before finally stopping....he opens his eyes, and both are deep blue. Passion has regained control.

...I have an idea...I don't know if it'll work, but it's worth a shot...

Alevon looks at TK and Videor and feels sick to his stomach, so he quickly looks away
"...we need to bind Samuel again, for safety reasons...before we wake Maya up, that is..."
He says just loud enough for them to hear

"...can I get some help from one of you perhaps?"

Alevon shakes his head
"He can be free, but I feel that we need to bind him for the restoring of time...it's just a feeling I have...now, could one of you please help me?"

"Ask him if you want, but we need to have him secure when Maya wakes up. After that, we can let him go again, alright? It's for precautionary purposes."

Gabrielle shrugged at Udo's views about Alevon. "I can't relate to him. I've been leading a tremendously different life from him. All the better if there's somebody who can understand him, though; I don't agree with people being jerks to him. Which is why I abstain." Which was also why she abstained to add that she didn't always do what she said she did.

She breathed in the fresh air, thinking about how it was a change of pace from the commotion inside. Hermoment of relaxation lasted onlya while before she pulled out a cell phone and dialed a number. Frowning after she got no response she dialed another, different one.

Not getting a response from that one either, she looked over to Udo with an embarassed smile. She then dialed Lance's number.

The phone was picked up at that one. She smiled to herself after his greeting and said, "Hey, Lance, how are you?" She would never admit it, but talking to other boys got her stoked for talking to him. "I'm still in Michigan. Hopefully I can meet you tomorrow. We'll see." Fifteen seconds later, the phone was in her pocket again and the shadow manipulator sighed in relief.

"That is my point, Tsinanae, because you and I, and very likely your mother are his goals. He can stop time. He needs to be restrained, at the very least for a few moments after this is over. Then we can release him. But I need help, so if neither of you will stop cuddling long enough to focus on the task at hand, then I'll do it myself."
He gets up and begins to walk out to find Samuel
