Fragility of the Mind

While Nicole was sleeping, Emir grumbled and texted TK's phone with this message:

"FFS Please sleep, the tight wad bitch can handle it, just get some rest alright? Or I will pop a cap on you. and I'm serious.

From your loving brother,
Emir."

Emir groaned back to sleep, putting his other arm on Nicole's shoulder. A smile on his face as he came into sleep, waiting for the next day of booze, snide remarks and French people.

The blood on Alevon's finger is absorbed into nothingness as his hand drops to his side
"Maya...please...I understand that he may have done something wrong, but such a crime does not merrit the punishment of death..."
He says, looking to the side

"...to eat someone in order to survive or to dispose of the body out of necesity is one thing, but to consume a person out of the pleasure of it is entirely different..."
He looks at her and gently but firmly grips her shoulders, looking into her eyes

"If you know that I fight to protect the innocent and to destroy the unjust, then I hope you understand how I feel, Maya. I don't disapprove of you eating people, I disapprove of you eating the wrong people...to consume another for the sole purpose of enjoying the taste is......simply not something I agree with, Maya..."

He wipes blood from her lips and says softly
"...so please...only eat the really bad people, mass murderers, that sort of thing...not people who commit petty crimes......and if you suddenly have the urge to eat someone, and none are around, then chew on me....chew all you like...but please don't bite anything off..."
He says quietly, softly rubbing her lower lip with his index finger

Alevon holds Maya tightly back and whispers
"Thank you Maya...I'm glad you understand"

He gives her a warm kiss on the cheek and rubs her back

Gabrielle sighed morosely, a little relieved to be finally in her little corner. Despite telling them she'd definitely be coming with the rest of the group to Colorado, in the end the only thing she managed to do was lay around, not feeling up for fighting.

She knew she had it lighter---and she knew that she was an idiot for lying twice over about France. Admitting the truth and then saying the truth was a lie. She didn't ant to go back, or several... personal reasons.

For one, her uncle.

For two, WADE.

She sighed. Of course, those were the biggest preoccupations in the world. Things like lacking hair gel in the morning or getting a smaller piece of pie than usual, whereas people were dying, suffering, orphaned... For her, that shocking preoccupation was obstinately telling herself she didn't want to go to France.

She caught as much of the commotion as she could. Blood man attracted by warmth making sudden attack, TK weakened to the point of not being able to retaliate. She then assumed it was best if she didn't come. when she used her powers she automatically became an infared beacon, and if four of the strongest people she knew couldn't do it,then neither could she.

She turned around in the bunk under her sheets, groaning slightly. She wished she had her happy pills right about now. Her powers and energy had come back. The withdrawal had stayed.

Udo remained leaning against the wall. He nodded in approval of Alevon's handle of things. At least in this instant, Alevon seemed genuine. He wasn't allowed long to think on it as his mind was soon flooded by a strange voice. Udo concluded that it sounded like Videor, or rather the thoughts felt like Videor.

Udo jerked in surprised as he spoke in his mind.
Telepathy, that's a new one.
"Fascinating." He said aloud before correcting himself quickly. "Things look well in hand here. I take my leave."

Udo nodded in a cordial psuedo-bow, before backtracking along the path he had followed Alevon. He felt certain he hadn't heard the end of this cannibalism matter; after all, a scolding from Alevon doesn't obsolve her of what she's done.
Alevon will try and vouch for her by expressing that the victim was in fact a criminal, Udo inferred, but it will be for not, as many of the others, including myself have criminal pasts; they may feel even more threatened by her than before. Udo began to worry that she would not remain safe there in the base for much longer.

It took a mind jarring five minutes for him to back-navigate to the main room, although by the time he finished he finally felt more comfortable with the layout of the building. His cane announced his arrival long before he hobbled back into the main room. Videor was feeding TK. It looked more like forcefeeding as TK moved frequently yet exhibited feverish weakness. His cane tapped rythmically as he closed. He moved close, standing over her.
"You wished to see me?" He asked with a smile."

TK sat up, ignoring her current state and checked her phone. She groaned and fell back over, texting in reply, "I'ma go to sleep soooooon. Ok I love you goodnight!!!"


TK sat back up, slowly pushing Videor's hand aside as she grinned at Udo. "Good! You're my excuse for staying up er-"

TK waved, "Heheheh, please, have a seat." TK propped herself up so that her back would be against the wall so that Udo'd have somewhere to sit. "I apologize for rushing you into things. Is there anything you'd like to ask me before I pass out? I'm sure my brother Emir will come in soon to knock me out cold, I can be pretty defiant" She laughed at that.
