Fragility of the Mind

Alevon pauses and watches instead of doing what he planned on doing.

He decided to wait until their talk was over to talk for himself

Alevon waves his fingers at Videor, not saying anything, trying to be polite

Alevon raises his eyebrows at the lack of notice to the wave

...alright then...can't say I didn't try to be nice...

Alevon looks at Videor and shuts his eyes, shaking his head. Arms crossed.

Gabrielle clenched her teeth and trotted out of the room, after Alevon. "I am surprised, Alevon, but know that I accept your apology. No hard feelings. I should be sorry too." She thought about the people she actually did hold hard feelings for. She remembered how much she trusted Alevon then, at the Unhonorables base. "I don't trust you, but I don't trust anyone anymore. I just want to go home."

She chuckled at the irony--this little endeavor was making her as cynical as ever. She decided against specifying which home she was talking about--Kansas or France.

She wasn't sure herself.

She watched as TK, very angry, teleported away after shouting a few words. She looked at Udo and furrowed her brow. Taking that as a signal, she walked over to TK's now broken bunk before giving Alevon the chance to reply and said, "Hey. Blowing off steam is a vague term, he could've meant it."

Alevon walks up to Videor and stares him down
"So help me, if she's hurt because of you..."

He looks deep into Videor's eyes

Alevon shoves Videor
"I'm not fooling around with you, boy. She's in YOUR hands now. Treat her nicely, or I'll be at your throat like a wolf to a sheep. Got it?"

Alevon takes a step back, red energy arcs around in his right hand's open palm as he grits his teeth. Heat waves can be seen coming off of it for a moment before he closes his hand and it dissapears.

"Videor, if you truly care about her, then you will do what you must to make her happy, never hurt her."

...strike two...

Gabrielle coughed and sat down on one of the bunks.

"Quiet."

It was unusual for her to ask something so bluntly. She closed her eyes and layed down on the bed, holding one finger up as if to tell them to keep quiet. After putting it down, she seemed to be in a position made for sleeping.

A shadow crept through the forest. A twig snapped as it flashed near TK. The shadow was in fact baring a striking resemblance to Gabrielle save for the fact that she was pitch black and very out of place in the natural afternoon light. The shadow leaned down to look at TK with what could be taken as a worried, anxious look.

Several seconds passed before the shadow disappeared as if it were never there. Gabrielle re-opened her eyelids, and looked at the three people near her as if she had achieved a task worthy of the Nobel prize.

Alevon straightening himself, his red eyes switching back to their usual red and blue
