| Purple gave a hint of amusement in the Amethyst dragon's direction. Having heard the footsteps resume, she exposed herself even more by lazily untucking the still fascinating wings and letting her arms drop to the ground, looking for nothing in particular.
She hoped that it would show itself before she had to defend herself. Being stalked until she got bored was not the best of scenarios. | |

| The creature stopped again, and the purple dragon could just barely notice a pair of hungry eyes looking at her, a furry snout pushing through the brush. Unknown to her, it was a wolf wanting nothing more than a good warm meal... | |

| The Cobalt dragon had a strange feeling of unproductivity which seemed unbearable. No, wait it was boredom. After feeling incapable of sitting on a branch to watch its food dry, it set off to do what all dragons do, fly.
After gliding at an unsustainably low angle of depression and crashing to the ground, the dragon decided to wander about in the woods and go exploring, foraging, or a combination of both. It made more than sufficient amounts of noise as it went deeper into the forest, brushing by some bushes. | |

| The Amethyst dragon watched as the figure had shown itself, it seemed larger than the rabbits he had encountered before. Although it did not seem as though it would provide much of a challenge for the two dragons. (I don't want to hurt it, it's just like I was... hungry...)
The Amethyst dragon thought quickly, finding a way to possibly ending this without bloodshed. He thrusted his body upwards, jumping towards the wolf. He stanced himself aggressively and had his wings spread wide letting out a loud roar, ensuring the wolf got a good look at his fangs. | |

| The Emerald approached the Bronze; resisting the urge to laugh. It seemed neither one of them had quite a handle on landing; he, nearly falling from the sky, and she, nearly flying into the ground. Maybe between the both of them they'd find a healthy middle ground.
"Are you alright?" He asked, his found humor over their progress glowed in his delighted eyes. After his head flicked to a randomn point in the surrounding trees, letting his nostrils pull gently at the air for nearby scents. | |

| That move was not something the purple dragon had anticipated. She clumsily tightened her still untrained muscles and shot out towards the wolf.
She didn't want to kill it, however. For all intents and purposes, she knew that this creature's meat was not appetizing just by looking at its skeletal structure. | |

| The purple dragon and wolf collided, the wolf getting knocked back by the dragon's already superior bone structure. The wolf however was not deterred as it growled, his head hung low as he was prepared to lash out at them. | |

| The Cobalt dragon stumbled into the fight, half intending to. The clearing wasn't an inevitable crossing in his path to an unspecified destination, but odd sounds registered by his improved senses forced him to change course. What he saw surprised him a little. 2 dragons, the Amethyst one and another he recognized as the purple dragon, probably because it was purple. They were fighting a wolf. The Cobalt dragon didn't know who was stupid, the wolf or the dragons, and didn't have a clue who started it per se. For now it stayed peering through the bushes and forming tactics as its instinct directed it. | |

| "Yeah... Just a little shaken." The Bronze dragon smiled, before looking up at the odd sounds reaching her ears. She tilted her head curiously at the sound of fighting, but her stomach soon drew her attention. "Let's find some food.... I'm hungry..." The bronze stood then, smelling the air and listening, before padding off in the opposite direction of the fighting to go and find some food.... | |

| The moment she made contact, the purple dragon lost all interest in trying to defend herself from the wolf. Glancing nonchalantly at it, almost in authority, she craned her neck up and, as soon as she saw the Cobalt dragon, tried to lift herself off the ground with her wings once more.
The last time she had tried to fly, she had barely registered the mandatory motions. She had a clearer idea of what she needed to do this time. She was learning fast.
With a clear sweep of both wings towards the ground, the purple dragon forced its fine-boned structure up in the air. | |

| The Amethyst dragon watched as the wolf did not fright off by his display, realizing how starving the beast must be. He then witnessed as the Purple dragon collided with the wolf, and then backed off and began to fly. (She must have lost interest... It was obvious she'd win the fight...) The Amethyst dragon stood watching the wolf, now catching the scent of the dragon he had encountered near the rabbit cluster. Realizing that the wolf was too desperate to be scared off, the Amethyst dragon knew if he stayed there he would have to fight. After watching the Purple dragon take flight, he decided he would do the same...
Spreading his wings apart, the Amethyst dragon did as the purple dragon had done, and began to flap his wings. He soon gazed in wonderment upon the ground, as it seemed to get farther and farther away with each flap of his wings. As he moved higher up, he looked around noticing large tree branches extending out from the trees. He decided to move towards one, and perch on it to look around. (This is... Fun...) | |

| The cobalt dragon now knew the wolf was the bigger fool for attempting an engagement, or so it seemed, since the odds were alleviated and it still retreated. Something to keep in mind for later. He was sort of surprised at how the other 2 managed to fly up so quickly. They must have all tried it before.
peer pressure
The Cobalt dragon followed suit, entering the opening as soon as the wolf was gone and looked down before flapping carefully but in a powerful manner and somewhat managing to lift itself up into the air. | |

| The Emerald, on the other hand, remained where he stood. He felt a rumble in his gut; hunger pains he guessed. Looking back towards the cave, he thought about the eleven bodies arranged so neatly around the ante-chamber. They were dead and ripe to be devoured. He regretted not taking one as a meal; he could tell already, the prospect of pursuing living creatures for sustinence didn't sit well with him. Instead, he felt as if the only appealing meal so far were those dead bodies; he felt as if he could only eat something that was dead when he arrived, a scavenger of sorts.
And so, instead of following the Bronze, he widened his wings again and took to the air. His eyes pierced the tree-line, as he searched for the other dragons, and hopefully a few scraps they may have left behind. Still, he glided back towards the cave, still clinging to the hope that a deceased smorgasbord was waiting for him. | |

| The bronze noted that he didn't follow, but she didn't pay much attention, and instead, stalked off through the trees, scenting something that would make her potential meal. Staying low to the ground, the young dragon let her instincts kick in as she skittered through the underbrush quietly. She finally came to a stop, peering through the foliage at the spring she had found, fish a plenty. Smiling, she moved quietly, staring down into the water as she waited for a fish to approach.
Once a fish did get close, the Bronze dragon lashed out with her taloned paws to flick the fish out of the water. | |

| Before long, he found what he'd been searching for; a scent most foul, replusive. A scent of decay, but to the Emerald, it called to him. Following the scent of death, he found it's source. A fallen doe by the lake's edge. Whether it had died of malnourishment or disease, he couldn't tell, but the doe, nearly to his adult stage, looked like a banquet; and it seemed he wasn't the only who shared those sentiments.
He landed, with slight improvement over his last attempt, the dust throwing thud frightened off his fellow aerial scavengers, small feathered creatures with a foul appearance that matched the foul smell of the doe. Buldging eyes and sickly looking long necks leading to fluffy tufts of feathers at it's base.
They scattered giving him room, but as was their nature, they stayed nearby itchy to pick at their hard sought meal. The Emerald padded slowly and low towards the doe with a low purr, issuing disapproving squaks out of the winged creatures. They feign aggression, the nearest snapping their beaks as he passed. He eyed them each before sniffing at the doe. It was more a ceremonial gesture to the birds, as if to say the food they seemed desperate for may or may not be good enough for himself.
But it was all an act, the rancid odor barely tickled his nostrils before he dove his slender snout into the corpse; guided by a primal drive, he ripped a chuck of flesh from the chest cavity his winged rivals had already opened for him. Flicking his head back, he snapped his jaws at his meal, chewing it slightly before swallowing. Savory isn't exactly the word he'd use to describe it, but he found the meat oddly satisfying. Further doubt now aside, he used his powerful claws to rip another piece, that would easily qaulify as most of the doe, and retreated to a grassy, sunlit patch near the water to eat the rest in peace; the birds could have the scraps. | |

| The Bronze's fishing attempts weren't what she had hoped for and a low growl rumbled from her throat. Her next action was pure instinct, as she opened up her mouth and roared, only, it wasn't just sound that spewed out, but sparks of electricity arching from her open mouth wildly, occasionally hitting the water. granted, it wasn't powerful enough to kill, but she certainly stunned the fishes long enough for the bronze wyrmling to flick one or two out of the water. Satisfied, she killed them, before moving into the shade of a tree with her catch.
As she ate the fish piece by piece, the Bronze dragon thought about what she had done. Lightning breath. It was something she could do of course, but it wasn't very good... She'd have to practice, but when? The little dragon didn't want to hurt her companions, which she surely would if she practised during the day or near them... Then tonight maybe...? Yes... The young dragon smiled, finishing off her first fish and beginning on her second. She would practice her lightning breath later tonight, when everyone else had gone to sleep. | |

| It was almost mid-day by this point, when all of the dragons would hear the Cloaked man call from the mountain,"Alright children come back inside! We have some business to attend to!" | |

| The Bronze looked up at the call to return, before moving, and climbing up into a tree, half her fish in her mouth. She leapt into the air from her branch, flapping a few times to gain altitude so she could fly back. She nearly stalled once or twice in the air, and by the time she got back she was a little breathless. Her landing was once again clumsy, and she stumbled forward, before regaining her balance and padding close to the entrance of the cave, looking at the man before looking into the cave. And of course, her fish was still held firmly in her mouth, as if she refused to let it be taken by scavengers. | |

| The Amethyst dragon's ears twitched as he had heard the Cloaked man's call. (Should I...? Perhaps I should...) He turned his direction, and began to fly back towards the cage. A short three minutes later, he landed at the entrance in a crash. Tumbling into the cave, rolling several feet.
"Aaah!" The Amethyst dragon cried out in his oddly childish voice. "It it it it ouch..." He groaned as he stood up, shaking his head. (That was rather embarrassing...) | |

| The Bronze turned and looked at her fellow curiously, before jumping out of the way as he tumbled past her. Blinking, she moved over to him, tilting her head. She put the fish down, clearing her throat a little. "Um... Hi there... Want some fish...?" She asked, deciding she'd be nice since she landed in a similar fashion her first time. | |

| "Uhm... H-Hi..." The Amethyst dragon looked down at the fish. (They're already dead... But...) "N-No.. I'm fine." Although he was actually quite hungry, the small stones he had devoured earlier had not held him off that well. He turned his head back up towards the female dragon with the bronzed scales. (We're all alike... yet we're not the same, why is this...?) The Amethyst dragon pondered, beginning to become lost in thought. | |

| The Cobalt dragon took its rabbits off the drying fire. They weren't completely done, but they wouldn't rot for a while. He wondered why he did this to 2 rabbits, but what's done is done.
The Cobalt dragon wished to make a show, so, naturally, it practiced landing a few times.
---
The Cobalt dragon flew through the air diagonally towards the cave, making sure to be steady. It's leg throbbed from the earlier... incident. It landed in an almost graceful manner in relativity, and walked calmly into the cave like nothing had happened. In reality the dragon had suffered a terrible crash earlier in its practice, but wouldn't tell anyone. | |
