The way they learned didn't matter. Whether they happened to find it on the ground, learned it from a friend, or were given the information by a stranger the result was the same. There was a haven out there for Alphas in need; a place for any and all Alphas to seek refuge from this endless war. While to many it looked like a sick joke in troubled times, to those aware it was a sign of hope. A Super Hero convention. Whose idea was this? No one could be sure, but if it meant not dying than anyone would accept it.
Regardless of where they were the information was the same. Catch the bus East of Springfield Missouri, Highway 65. Simple really, but these were trying times, and who knows it may well be a trap. But everyone needed hope, some more than others.
To those who would arrive the Bus stop would be attached to a run down gas station with a cheap grocer inside. Cheap gas station food aside, it was at least quiet enough. Aside from the single cashier inside, no one seemed to be around. Today was your chance at finding safety, to get away from it all. Lets just hope something doesn't go wrong.
[And thus the first post begins! Everyone is free to post in as they please and the format at the top will be what I use in my posts from now on. While this may only be one topic, do note that you don't HAVE to stick with everyone, and so you can split off into your own topic. Doing so, I will also format it with the time shit I have above so we can try and keep things straight lol.]

| Aaron smiled as he overheard a conversation two people were having about some haven for Alpha's. He quickly stole some food from the shop clerk while he wasn't looking and made his way towards his hideout. He'd pack what he could before going to the bus station and taking a ride to Missouri. He smiled to himself as he remembered a joke a friend used to say: Missouri? More like Misery. He didn't realize he was actually going to 'Misery'.
He packed some extra clothes into a battered suitcase. All his clothes were filthy because of the fact that he lived on the streets. He probably stank too. With that thought in mind he left his cloak and mask behind and wandered the streets naked searching for a house that was epmty but unlocked. He had a couple of 'friends' that offered him luxury's like showers and stuff. He knew the signs. He saw someone who left their trash out in the middle of the day and he ran up, looked around, and made his way inside the unlocked door. He quickly rushed into the houses shower and cleaned himself off. He also pulled some glass shards from his feet, they hurt like hell.
Aaron then stole a backpack and loaded it with supplies like food and medical supplies as well as a US map and some money. He hated the fact that he was stealing from people that had treated him so well. He left a note apologizing to them and telling them he would repay them one day. When he was finished he checked to make sure the coast was clear and hid the backpack in the trash.
He ran to his hideout and unpacked the grimy clothes, hid them under his cloak and made his way back to the house in his outfit. He pulled the backpack out of the trash and packed up his clothes. He slowly made his way to the bus stop, taking side streets and shortcuts.
As he got onto the bus he paid the fee and sat in a chair heaving a sigh of relief as he took off his backpack. He enjoyed his thoughts and memories of his sister as he slowly hummed to the thrum of the bus. A haven... A new hope.

| Mallorie was curled in a ball on the bus, sitting unnoticed in the back. It had been a long bus ride from New York, one she hoped was worth it. She held her bag close to her chest, eyes down and hood pulled down. It wouldn't be long now.. She glanced over to the man across the aisle, a wristwatch visible.
She felt the bus slowing down, and she turned her attention to the front. People started to stand as the bus came to a halt, and she waited for them to file out before she got off herself. Mal looked around the station itself, but decided to hang back, as people rushed back onto the bus headed South. She didn't want south though. She wanted East. A quick look at the travel itinerary told her she had a while to wait, so she decided to explore a little. She found a table in the run down gas station, and took a seat, settling down.

| Casually strolling out of the old town prison in his incredibly out of place attire Xain stood by the streets edge and looked up to the sun. "Ah it's been so long my dear friend!" He exclaimed, completely oblivious to the attention he was drawing. He pulls back this hood with a lone arm he basks in the sunlight as his skin rapidly fades from a caramel black into a pale white. Ruffling his short black hair and glancing around only to see people whispering and turning away it dawns that may not have been the best idea.
But then something catches the corner of his eye, a particularly distinct aura dashing into a fueling station just across the street. "Oh? The wheel of fate yet turns I see." Flipping his hood back over his head he looks both ways and walks calmly over to the gas station to greet this potential comrade.

| Agrias was dissecting some local speedster, some process as usual any time an alpha had wandered too close to his fortress. Splitting him open, seeing how his powers had worked in tandem with his body and how the mad headhunter himself could possibly attempt to recreate such an ability. As he was readying the corpse for disposal, a curious slip of paper had fell from the lad's jacket. "An alpha convention?" he beamed aloud, a wicked, toothy grin sliding across his bloodstained lips.
Within hours he had haphazardly placed his latest catch on a rusted metal spike and left the rest of the body for the wolves. The lanky man carried nothing but a long overcoat, concealing his various tools of trade and his trusty C96. Flying to the american mainland by way of stolen jet, the russian man left the country fast enough to not raise any suspicion. Landing the rather nice craft in a remote region similar to the one he had set up shop in (albeit low on fuel and the inside stripped of any components he could jam into the overcoat's pockets), he decided to not draw any attention to the craft or where it had landed by swiftly leaving and not mentioning it to any of the locals.
Once he had made it to the city proper, he casually strolled to the bus stop with a large grin on his face. IF anyone asked, he was just checking it out, and if anyone got too curious, they'd find themselves short one head and stuffed in a bin for the trashmen. Luckily no one seemed to question the tall man, who was very obviously not a regular visitor as his eyes checked every nook and cranny for exit points and potential ambush locations. Upon arrival at the derelict station, he simply went inside and bought a chocolate bar to wait for the bus, a few other curious figures having arrived before him. "Yesss..." he thought to himself, chewing his treat slowly to calm his nerves and gazing at the people waiting around him in curious reverence.

| It felt like Mal had sat for hours without seeing anyone else, though she doubted it was really that long. The first male to walk in cause her to raise her eyes from the journal she had been writing in, focusing on the pale man. He seemed harmless enough, even if he was a little cheery. Satisfied that he didn't seem dangerous, she turned her attention back to her book, relaxing a little again.
By the time the next man entered, she had forgotten where she was, and the sound of the entrance bell shocked her back to reality. Mallorie's gaze found the man, and quickly turned away, the hairs on the back of her neck standing on end. She pushed a dark curl back into place, and shoved the journal into her bag. She stood slowly, flipping her hood into place, and disappearing into the aisle, keeping her movements as natural as possible despite the sensation of fear traveling down her spine.
Once the trench-coat man was out of sight, she relaxed a little, and started to look through the snacks in front of her. They looked good enough, and her eyes drifted to a bag of spicy chips, her mouth watering at the thought. When was the last time she had had something like that? She slipped her hand from the hoodie pocket, and snatched up a bag, stashing it into her bag like it was nothing. She wasn't sure when stealing had become so easy for her, but once she had manifested, working had become impossible. She had tried at first, but no one seemed to notice her when she wanted to be seen, and she had soon given up.

The man running the convenience store looked to be about 50, though signs could point to the fact that he may have been much younger, and that time was just not kind to the man. He was slightly overweight and clearly didn't care for personal appearances as he lazily watched the three people walking in the store. If it looked like he gave a crap, he clearly didn't show it. But he did keep a close eye on everyone, casually turning attention from one person to the next. Curiously Mal would notice that he had visually caught her stealing, but didn't respond.

| The bus ride took several days and Aaron made use of his time by reading a worn and tattered book or by sleeping. Drifting his mind into the beautiful world of his subconscious. Dreaming of his life before it all changed to the worse possible outcome. He dreamed he was watching a movie with his sister, his mother, his father. Both sitting on the couch enjoying the show. He felt their warmth entrapping him in a cozy cocoon of love and peace.
He lurched forward in his sleep and hit his head on the back of the opposite chair and he snorted awake. He slowly looked up and around. He noticed people getting up and leaving finally. Finally they were released from this mobile cage. He stretched loudly, his sleeved and gloved hands flying high in the air, revealing his bandaged and booted bottom half. For a second he forgot he was completely invisible and when he remembered he quickly covered his skin back up with his cloak. He grabbed his backpack, put it on and made his way out last of the line.
He wasn't actually the last he noticed as he was walking out a girl was staying behind making sure she left last. He rose an eyebrow at the curious sight and made his way off the bus one step at a time. Finally he entered the convenience store and checked his schedule. He noticed and groaned as the boy read that the next bus on the trip to 'Haven' would not be for awhile. He looked around and pulled a twenty from his cloak pocket and shopped around the store. He took a bag of chips and a candy bar and slowly made his way to the counter. There he paid for the two items with the twenty, silently took the change. The masked teen stared at the man knowing exactly what the man was probably calling him: A weirdo. He noticed out of the corner of the mask's vision, that the girl from before was sitting down writing in a journal.
He took his meal and went outside sitting on a bench. He crammed the food into his mouth under his mask like a pig. He was so hungry that he couldn't help it.
After the boy was finished he sighed at his empty bag and wrapper and looked up in time to catch a man in a trench coat entering the convenience store. He wondered if everyone here was an Alpha, just like this boy. He smiled under his mask at the thought, more people like him. A new family, a new home, Haven. A Haven, a Haven for Alpha's. He wondered what that would be like. Probably some shelter, some hidden fortress of solitude for these poor people who were different.
He remembered a conversation he had with an old friend. She told him she wanted to fight Alpha's to get rid of these 'freaks'. She wanted to join the Honour Guard. He vouched for them, telling them that they weren't so different. It's funny how fate works. Little did he know, he became an Alpha. He became something she hated. He wondered what would happen if they met now. Would he and his sister have to kill his best friend? He shuddered at the thought. No! He couldn't do that... So then would he die? No... He would find a third option one way or another. He would show Mercy.
He sat on the sidewalk contemplating these dilemma as more people arrived. He ignored them all and kept to himself. Eventually he stopped thinking about this problem and went about making sure the bandages were fastened neatly and tightly around his legs. He wanted to make sure not a single bit of skin could be seen. For just a hint of his invisible body could end up killing him.

| Jeanne and Leena left the nightclub at sunrise; they, as inconspicuously as they could, boarded a bus (the pair was slightly unusual, an amazonian fetish model covered in black, and a sour-looking teenager, also covered in black), which took them to the desired location.
Jeanne in particular was quite anxious for this bus trip; not having slept since being sent out to kill her friend in the church they'd both visited as children, she'd eventually reconciled their differences through the realization that she was also, in many ways, one of the hunted alphas. It was a big of a bummer; it was a stick shoved in the wheels of her dogma bike.
Anyway, Jeanne slept soundly next to Leena for almost the entire ride, and the ride was long, for the trip to Missouri from New York City was quite a long journey, and when she awoke upon arrival, she could not tell if she'd slept for 5, or 12, or 18 hours.
"We're here?" Her voice, soft, groggy, disorientated, resounded through her poor, delicate, mucus-covered throat, as she rubbed her eyes and yawned and spoke, all at the same time.
"What's my costume?" She tut-tutted. "Ahh, I should've kept the Honor Guard uniform. It's so authentic, it might just give these people a scare. It's not very long after Halloween, anyway."
She stretched her legs as she monologued, unused to having literally no possessions other than the change in her pockets and the flyer which remained crumbled in her hand. She slid her numb buttocks on the seat until she was in the main aisle, and made her way out of the bus. The sun struck her retinas in the most unpalatable of fashions, and she squinted as the light revealed her face's pallor. She put a dark sleeve over her eyes, and looked around, quickly spotting the bus stop gas station and grocer, as well as the peculiar amount of flat, foresty scenery around her.
Her deductive skills allowed her to understand that there was civilization somewhere off into the distance, but for the time being, they were not in any position to interact with civil society any time soon. And this made her sad, because she would need to interact with those she disliked fervently enough in the past to openly and proudly proclaim she'd be joining the military illegally to kill them. Oh well. Blunder years.

| Jeanne nodded off almost immediately after they got on the road- poor thing must have been exhausted. Thing was, Leena, despite having been awake and on her feet for well over 24 hours, felt not even the faintest hint of needing to sleep. At first she thought it was her nerves and the adrenaline, but shortly after Jeanne started napping she realized that she wasn’t even drowsy, much less sleepy. As the mile counter tipped to double and then triple digits, it became more and more obvious that Leena quite simply didn’t need it.
On the one hand, Leena didn’t mind much- she’d always felt that sleeping was an inconvenience at best and a complete and utter waste of time at worst, so not needing it any more would at the very least make her productive. On the other? She also had nothing to do. Keeping watch over the slumbering girl only required so much energy, and it wasn’t like she’d had time to grab a crossword puzzle before they left. At least the scenery change after they put the city behind them was nice.
She also took quiet opportunities when no one was looking to stretch out a little bit, letting a little more of her slime out so she could get a better view of the bus’s interior before pulling back. The suit was damn useful, but it was still restrictive. Still, she told herself, better this than being in a cooler in the undercarriage.
As the bus finally pulled into the station outside Springfield, Leena gave Jeanne’s shoulder a gentle shake. “Yeah, we’re here- just outside Springfield. We’ll be headed directly to the convention next.” Jeanne asked what her costume was: “Hmm- you could be my mild-mannered alter ego…” … “…Jeanne, we still have that uniform, remember?” Leena pointed a finger upwards. “It’s in the bag in the overhead compartment.”
As Jeanne slid off her seat, Leena slowly got up to follow her. She had taken every opportunity she could to get used to moving and posturing correctly while wearing the suit, and she was not about to pass this one up. She moved up the aisle, stopping at the front to ask the driver “excuse me, how long will we be waiting, if you don’t mind me asking?” before stepping off and getting a better look around. She momentarily considered following Jeanne, but while keeping her in her sights would be acceptable, following her like they were attached would look just a might bit weird, even if they were traveling together, so she stepped off to the right after getting off the bus, put her hands on her hips and tilted her head back. This gave the impression that she was just stretching her back and getting some fresh air, while at the same time allowing her to get a better view of her surroundings. She noticed a couple of interesting individuals milling about- some had been on the bus ride with them, some had not- but she made no moves, not yet anyway…

| Jeanne took a moment to register what Leena had told her, and then eventually turned at the hips to face her friend and continue their costume conversation.
"Oh that's right, isn't it? It'd still be missing the most important component." Her eyes flickered lightly as she recalled the riddance of that particular, state-of-the-art piece of equipment. A slight pang in her chest.
Jeanne turned back to facing away from the bus, and immediately spotted the strange get-ups of more than a few people; some individuals, including the person that would be Xain that she did not, at the moment, identify, were really committed to a particular aesthetic. That, or they just mutated that way.
She smoothed out her sweater's hem and promptly ruffled it up once more. She fidgeted, and stretched her legs, still shod with the boots of the Honor Guard. A plain, synthetic black, they did not attract direct attention, and she'd learned to enjoy their feel. They were nice, light and waterproof, and that was good enough for Jeanne.

| Did Aaron's eye's deceive him? Standing around outside the convenience store was someone very close to him. He slowly stood up as he contemplated what he should do. Run and warn people about the fact that an Honor Guard was standing right there ready to hunt the fellow Alpha's that stood around him.
Of course he was also assuming that the other people were like him, Alpha's. He stood there contemplating all these factors when he was surprised when his foot made a motion to move close to her. He didn't realize it when his mouth opened and the words left his mouth. "Jeanne? Is that you?" He asked and stood in front of her his mask pointed towards her face. "It's me Aaron Blackheart." He blinked behind the mask as he looked at her through the eye holes of the mask.
He still couldn't believe his eyes. It was Jeanne, miss kill all Alpha's. He felt a shard of bone start coming out of the back of his wrist. He didn't know what to think, but if she was here as an Honor Guard, here to kill more innocent lives. He would stop here. So he spoke the last words carefully, coating each word with a form of enthusiasm so as to not show her he was suspicious. He had to keep up the act that he was Human. For his sake and everyone else. "Are you still in the Honor Guard? I haven't seen in awhile my old High School friend!" He asked with fake elation.

| Mal had made her way out of the convenience store with her bag, intending to eat them out of sight of the clerk. Once she was outside, she glanced around at he other three individuals but paid them no mind. She sat down on the curb, pulled the bag of chips out and opened them, munching contentedly.
Her gaze traveled to the masked... male? She couldn't be sure. Sure, she was heading to a "superhero" convention, but would people really travel to it already dressed and in character. Mal glanced down at her own shabby clothes and made a face. Well, the other patrons would just have to settle for her shabby appearance.
She was about half way through her chips when she heard the words "Honor" and "Guard" in the same sentence. She froze, eyes wide as she slowly looked up to the source of the voice. The masked man was addressing one of the woman who had gotten off the bus. Mal swallowed convulsively, and schooled her features into a neutral mask.

| Sensing an odd tension in the air Xain maneuvers himself back to the front of the store with a single red apple in hand. "Ohhhh this is no good." he mutters looking at the two auras just outside the shop being confronted by the uniformed person. slowly moving the apple to his mouth he makes it appear he is taking a slow bite from the apple when he's actually digging his teeth into the skin just below his little finger. making eye contact with the store owner as a stream of clear liquid hits the floor. with a big smile he says "Please sire i would like for everyone to avoid hostility in my presence." his edict taking place with the rule now justified it echos into the mind of all others within its 120ft radius. making them subconsciously wish to follow it.
satisfied with his input and wishing to avoid confrontation himself he walks over to the boy in a trench coat without much of a care and mutters to this individual. "You have some serious eyes child, much hides behind them i can see. Tell me, what brings you and the others like us out to this location? if you do not wish to answer me that is quite fair, i can redirect my question to the others of this area." taking his first actual bite of the apple and awaiting the boys answer.

| Agrias paid no mind to the new arrivals, fiddling with what appeared the be the fuel gauge from the aircraft he had 'borrowed' earlier. That is, until he felt an overwhelming urge to cease thinking of how good each new arrival would look mounted on his wall at home. His thoughts pushed to the back of his mind, the slender man took a keener and keener interest in the little glass contraption as one of the other people came upon him to chat.
Having never actually really talked to another being in nearly years, instead making their insides outsides at the slightest provacation, seeing the strange man come upon him nearly made Agrias leap away. Instead he calmed his nerves, shoving the piece of broken macheineary into his pocket with an audible clunk as it collided with various other parts from the jet. He ruffled his hair and smiled coyly, looking Xain in the eyes with a piercing glare. "Oh! Uh..." he started, searching his pockets for the flier. "Here." he uncrumpled the sheet detailing the location and reason all the strange people were standing around this rather dank location. "It's a convention of somesort. Must be pretty big, I have a hunch this isn't everyone that's going to stop here."

| Jeanne looked confused, and then gasped as the memories of exactly what she had told her childhood friend inside of his sunny bedroom on a warm autumn day went through her slow, still-drowsy mind.
"Aaron," she said back. She nervously flipped her hair back, watching the people gather around her location. Her desire for aggression was low as it already were, but it somehow dropped below zero. "Is that really you under that mask? What in the world happened?"
Jeanne realized that she had not properly answered her Honor Guard question, and that a bunch of would-be alphas were maybe-maybe not considering lynching her as a nice morning pastime over a bunch of misconstrued information. "I'm not in the Honor Guard," she said, loud enough so that the others could hear.

| Leena turned her head at the sight of the commotion to get a full picture of what was happening. There were a bunch of interesting characters, but the ones that caught her attention were a young man in a mask and her own young traveling companion. What was worse, Jeanne was being accused of being a member of the Honor Guard. Granted, she had been, but how did this guy know? Questions for later, right now, she had to try and defuse the situation. She started walking in the pair's direction, trying for a loping, casual stride instead of a stiff march, but all she could do was attempt.
Thankfully, the one-armed man in the cape gave her an opening: "Everyone please," she called out in a cheery voice, "there's no need for this; Honor Guard are concerned with Alphas, not with a bunch of nerds who like to put on costumes!"
She walked up next to Jeanne, putting herself about six inches ahead of her young friend and a little bit more into the masked man's line of sight. She didn't know too terribly much about the situation, but she knew that tall muscular figures tended to make people reconsider violent actions. Leena wondered briefly whether her appearance would be a problem, but pushed that worry aside. Honor Guard dressed in blue and a silver so bright it was chrome, and from what she'd seen their armor was purely utilitarian. By contrast, her suit was black with a very dark silver, and only strips of dark green and blue, not to mention it was a more medieval and obviously decorative design. Anyone who could think rationally wouldn't mistake her as anyone but a costume buff.
She cocked her head towards Jeanne, but did not take her eyes off the man in front of them. Keeping her voice upbeat, she asked, "Friend of yours, Jeanne?"

| "That's my neighbor," she answered Leena almost immediately. "We were friends, but we lost contact with each other following a few recent events."
Despite Aaron's choice of attire, she could see the resemblance in stature and demeanor. The voice she'd heard resonate through the strange mask had also undoubtedly been Aaron's. No more interesting plot twist than to reunite with him in such... awkward... circumstances.

| (Cloak Niv, not trench coat)
Some powerful urge suddenly drew Aaron's blade back into his arm he blinked at the sudden end of his defensive rage. He turned around to look at a man. "I wasn't being hostile. Really, just greeting an old friend. His eyes slowly moved back towards Jeanne. He had acted without thinking and now he made a scene, what an idiot. Guess invisible people make the biggest noise.
His next comment made Aaron blink from behind the mask. How could he see his eyes? Every inch of his body was invisible. He turned away from the man and from Jeanne. "I'm here for the same reason you are I hope. I was just catching up with her. She went and joined the Honor Guard even though shes too young. I was worried about her as well as loathing her for joining such an evil organization." He replied to the man.
He turned to Jeanne and nodded his head, the mask moving with him. "Yes it's me... Well what's left of me. Don't know if I still look the same or not." He opened his cloak slightly to reveal no body between his bandaged midriff and the rest of the cloak. Only Jeanne could see...
That is until some muscular woman stood between them. He quickly covered himself. "Yes we're 'friends' up until she joined the Honor Guard much to my displeasure. But because you were a close friend once, I'll trust you Jeanne. If you say you aren't in the Honor Guard anymore then I hope we can be friends again." He lifted a gloved hand to her.

| Jeanne's eyes widened slightly as she peered in the inside of his clothing and found nothing. Literally nothing. Without intending to, she bit into her lip in sympathy.
She walked forth to take Aaron's lifted hand and ended up grabbing it with both sets of her dainty fingers. Aaron was just a little bit shorter than her, just as she remembered. She speechlessly released her grip and finally managed a weak smile.
"I will tell you everything," she said, the mischievous tone creeping back into the forefront. "In due time."

| "Well, when you run away from home that kind of tends to happen." Leena said this in jest, but it might have come out a bit sharper than she intended. She straightened back up as the boy responded: "She did run off the join them but she found they were, shall we say, not to their liking."
She watched their exchange and was tempted to walk away and let them have some privacy, but the last time she did that, this situation developed, so instead she spoke up again, "Well, we'll have plenty of time for that on the bus ride, but for now maybe we should take this inside where it's warm? and perhaps away from prying eyes?"

| Rob had indulged in a rather mundane discovery of his powers when he had noticed he could tell how to make just about everything he ate indelicately and was passively learning things at an alarming rate. Since then he'd looked up a handful of self-defense videos as well as some People are Awesome and parkuor videos in the hopes of being able to run away if he needed to. This didn't really bother him until the invite to the hero convention for Alphas came to his home and he wasn't sure how it was even delivered, but it assured him that people knew and that this meant the honor guard would eventually find out as well. With little recourse he had gathered what he could, left Kyle in charge of the shop, and set out for the convention in his white suit and picking up a deadpool mask on the way so that he'd at least look right for the occasion.
Rob pulled into the gas station needing to fuel up a bit and planning to merely follow the bus as it would provide him with more options if it was a trap and more freedom of movement if it wasn't. He stepped out of his car fueling up and selecting pay inside and glancing at the price of fuel and knowing the location of his fuel gauge somehow just knowing what it'd come out to, as was becoming startlingly mundane for him as of late, before walking in to pay the cashier with some cash for the gas and smiling at the sight of other people clearly headed for the convention, hoping that everything would be okay. "So that'll be fifteen, thirty-two for pump 4." he stated handing the cashier a twenty.

| "Oh? Very interesting" hummed the monk. "You have my thanks dear friend" he smiled and extended his hand, before realizing he was still holding an apple. Pulling back he turns and takes another bite. "-munch- I will leave you alone now -munch- best of luck to you -gulp- play nice." Strolling to the cashier Xain put down a single euro and asked "Is this okay? It's all I have for currency." Regardless of answer Xain smiles and walks out the front door to greet the small crowd.
"Hello children, Are you going to this meeting as well? I'm not the best with instructions and I was hoping For some company, I've been, how they say, living under a rock for quite some time."

| Off in the distance, a single yellow taxi cab can be seen making its way down the road. Inside the back seat, Frank and Val sit in silence. Frank bobs his head with his eyes closed to music playing in his head, seeming more into it than one really should be. Despite the fact that they were literally running from the law after one of them had actually committed a murder, even though by accident, his head seemed to be relatively empty despite the phantom music. To Frank, they were headed to a Super Hero convention in order to hide Val and her Alpha powers from the police. And, the fact that she was an Alpha didn't even faze him. To him, it didn't matter that he was now wanted for aiding a criminal escape. It was an accident, and Val didn't ask to be an Alpha in the first place. Can someone really be blamed for something out of their control? And even if she did want to be an Alpha, what's wrong with super powers? Frank thought super powers were cool, and sort of wished he had powers too in actuality.
In contrast to Frank, Val sits silently contemplating the events that had occurred just prior to their departure. Among all of the chance things that could happen, this was not one she had anticipated. In her type of career, one must always be prepared for the unexpected, but how could one anticipate this? Her thoughts remain fixated on not one, but two questions however: Is she really a murderer now? With all that occurred, she found she did not possess the answer to that question. The second was one nagging a little more passively, as she stared at her hand. The wound she had received from the incident had not begun to heal properly. It still seemed a little too... fresh.
Things were slowly compounding into an amalgamation of problems and unknowns, and she was at the center of it. Now, they'll be arriving shortly at the gas station. What's really going to happen after all of this?
The taxi comes to a stop and Frank perks up.
"Oh, are we here?"
After receiving a confirmation by the taxi driver, he would pay the fare and both he and Val would exit the vehicle, and Frank unzips his jacket revealing his T-shirt underneath. The T-shirt has the outline of a smiley face over the heart. The first thing Frank notices are the individuals that seem to be gathered outside, what with the guy with the mask and girl with a skin-tight suit. Frank beams a little bit as he suddenly becomes excited. He'd never been to a convention before, but now he very quickly takes a profound interest in it the more he thinks about it. He awkwardly jogs up to the little group of people, with Aaron and Leena and the others.
"Oh oh oh! Are you guys here for the convention too? Sweet costume! I wanna dress up too but I don't have a costume on me. Oh well I guess. You guys from out of town?"
Frank talks with his hands as he speaks.

| Mallorie visibly relaxed as the situation seemed to diffuse itself, and there seemed to be no issues. She crumpled up the bag she had been eating out of, and tossed it into the nearest trash bin. She stood, her movements slow and languid from being in the light for so long, and cast her eyes about the steadily growing group in front of the station.
She made a face at the thought of having to possibly talk. With her luck, she'd just continue to go unnoticed, even if she were to walk up and poke one of them. She still hadn't quite figured out her powers yet, but she knew at least one of them kept her off the grid pretty easily. It was one of the few reasons she'd managed to disappear so quickly when she first heard of an Honor Guard sweep.
She shouldered her bag again, pushing stray curls out of her eyes and studying the group a bit more, now blatantly staring. There was a slim chance that they'd notice her, but at least if they did she'd have someone to talk to. Unless they thought she was weird. She frowned, studying the armored individual, and the young man in a cape and mask. Some how, she didn't think that would be much of an issue. All kinds went to these super hero conventions, right?
