Fragility of the Mind

"What is your job anyways?" Emir asked, getting a cigarette from his front pocket and a light from the same pocket. "And who's the girl with the piercings?"

Emir lights his cigarette and saw TK basically tackling Ariel.

"Well, that's cool....As a deputy, I just bust people and do desk duty. not really interesting." Emir said, putting the cigarette in his mouth and smoking it.

"Raine? She looks like a drug whore to be honest." He said, looking at Raine.

He's had a rough life... I guess most of them have. Raine's thoughts were broken when she heard her name. She looked up at the two men, got up and threaded her arms through her sweater sleeves. Not taking offence to the comments made about her but not giving the man the satisfaction of her looks agreeing with his words.

She extended her hand to the guy standing beside Josh, she put on a seductive smile and introduced herself, "As this guy here said, " she gestured to Josh, "I'm Raine, a friend of that good for nothing Ariel's and I'm definately not a whore, but I definately do drugs." She put out her other hand, palm up.

"If you got any more of those I guess I could ignore your previous comments."

"Well, you still whore for drugs, same thing." Emir said, putting his cigarette out with his hand, dropping it and crumbling it with his loafer.

"Name's Emir." He took Raine's hand and kissed it. "and I'm trying to be a gentleman." He said slyly, also putting a seductive smile.

Raine grinned, pleased, Hm... interesting.

"Who ever said I whored for drugs? and good to know, my momma always told me to meet a man who'd treat me right." She purred sarcastically, gently pulling her hand from his grip.

She placed her hands on he hips and shifted her weight to her left side.

"Who's that over there hugging my bitch?" she asked calmly, pointing at Ariel and the other woman. No emotion showing on her face or in her body language.

Emir shrugs at Josh. "I never liked crime, I was sucked into it for no damn reason, and I'm trying to make up for it." He said, letting go of Raine's hand. "I still have some supply connections, More than you in your lifetime." He chuckled.

Ariel embraced TK tightly, happy to be reunited with her best friend. She stood like that with her for what seemed like hours before finally pulling away and admiring her. She whistled.

"Wow TK, you look amazing," she complimented. "I guess a few years can really change a person huh?"

"And that bitch, is my Sister." Emir said, not even concerned. "Is there any food here? cause me and Aki is gonna tear it up!"

Ariel turned to look at Raine, an irritated look on her face.

"Yes, I know her, unfortunately," she replied. She looked back at TK. "It's a bit of a long story, though if you have the time we can talk about it," Ariel offered.

"Hey Ariel, long time no see." Emir said, waving at her and smiled.

Emir slouched in his chair, saying to Raine finally, "Your mother's great, mine tried to molest me....so yea I'm lacking excessive amounts of moral fiber as of right now." He chuckled sadly.

"Yeah, of course TK. And she can be a complete bitch, and her words are dripping with sarcasm. Just lettin' you know," she warned her friend. Then as an afterthought, she said, "Though I'm sure you can handle it."

Ariel then looked at Emir and gave a small smile of her own.

"Hey you," she greeted kindly. "It's good to see you again. How have you been?"

Then she turned to Josh, raising an eyebrow. "Nice legs?"

"Ha, my mother wasn't that great. I would have thought you would have picked up on that from the large amount of sarcasm in my tone." she winked.

"And don't think I can't hear you, Ariel." Raine spoke calmly, she glanced a tthe two woman with slightly narrowed eyes.

"you know how nervous and embarassed I get when people start talkin' bout lil' old me!" the last part of her sentence ended with a southern accent. Creating a very joking tone.

"You'll get use to it." Emir saying to Angela. Then looking at Ariel. "Bored, Hungry, but not really lonely anymore."
