Fragility of the Mind

"Mind if you tell us about the Masterminds?" Emir asked, still aiming at him, a vein pulsing in his forehead.

"...I'd feel better if you stopped aiming at me...then I will tell you..."
He says

"...but this may be the last night we have together...it should be spent having fun and relaxing"

Ariel winced as the pain returned and she held her head. She looked at Alevon again and felt embarrassed.

"I didn't mean anything by it..." she murmured. "I was just surprised. It felt strange, knowing you could do something like that. I'm sorry." Apologizing to him was the last thing she expected to do, though she didn't ask him to make the pain go away again. She would rather suffer in silence.

Ariel's pain once more goes away, and this time however, she feels much better, and even smells roses, the room almost brightening up to her

Raine walked up to TK as she was unmoving and she smiled, grabbing the woman's cheeks, like a grandma would to her grandchild, and she pinched them, raising her voice slightly as she spoke.

"Wake up, Old Lady, the longer you sleep, the more time you waste, and the more time you waste, the more wrinkles you get!" She had been listening the whole time, it all didn't really matter to her because she didn't really care about Alevon but she was alert in case he tried to do anything funny.

Ariel sighed quietly in contentment, the pain once more going away. She closed her eyes and smelled roses, relaxing her further. She opened her eyes and look around, feeling lighter. She glanced at Alevon.

"Why are you doing this?" she asked softly.

"...as I said...I want you all to be happy tonight...just in case something happens...and we never see each other again...and to make up for everything...though I don't expect to be forgiven..."

TK teleports and Alevon stands up straight, looking down at his feet

Emir scoffed, putting his gun down.

"I'm never happy, so what's the difference if I was?"

"...I'd like to serve you all tonight...just as a token of my gratitude that it seems you've accepted me...for the most part..."

He falls to the floor, hands propping him up, his head hung low

he tries to ignore the throbbing sensation in his stomach

Ariel bolted towards TK and Alevon and grabbed hold of her best friend, pulling her back and away from Alevon.

"TK, enough!" she cried, trying desperately to maintain a firm grip on her. "Please!"

Emir aimed his gun at TK.

"Whoa Sis, steady. If he's gonna die anyways why making him suffer more?....man I need to stop asking questions to people." He said, chuckling on his last sentence.

"...I'm sorry...TK...for five years...I had to live with my own lies to you all...to myself...for the greater good or not...I'm sorry I hurt you..."
His eyes are partially closed, and he's still on the floor

Raine crossed her arms over her chest and looked down at Alevon, a frown on her face.

"Jeez, 'round here I guess the dead just don't stay dead." She then backed up, standing beside Ariel and TK. She whispered over to Ariel, "Lobster?" No one else would be able to understand what she meant by that but Ariel would. Raine usually associated liars to lobsters for some reason and whenever Ariel lied she would ask her if she enjoyed being a lobster. She liked having little terms that no one would know about so she could talk with Ariel in secret without being away from everyone.

Emir, being tired at aiming his gun at people and not pulling the trigger, puts his gun back to his holster and rubbed his throbbing vein.

Ariel slunk to the floor next to TK, wrapping her arms around her tightly.

"Hey, it's going to be alright," she murmured in a soothing voice. She rubbed her back and added, "I'm here, TK. You can cry if you want, I'm here."

Then she looked up at Raine. "No, no lobsters this time..."

"I want to help in any way I can, TK....what is it you want me to do?"

Alevon gets up and slowly walks to TK
"...Tsinanae....please forgive me..."
He was only about a foot away

Ariel held TK closer, almost shielding her from Alevon.

"Leave her be Alevon," she said quietly. "Give her some time."

"Damn," she started, stroking her lip piercings with her fingers, "I guess things are really messed up." She then looked over at Alevon and her eyes narrowed slightly.

"I think that this 'night' you're all happy-go-lucky about should be spent alone. Honestly, shit hit the fan with 'Ryan' just kinda..." she paused, "I don't even know what to call that, what happened."
