Fragility of the Mind

"Go without me, see what's your tastes of booze would satisfy my thirst." Emir said, bring up a false grin.

Her hand trailed down the edge of the door and she didn't smile as she slipped away. Raine's eyebrows were knit, showing a slightly upset expression. She wandered around the base's kitchen, looking for any sort of alcoholic drink. She had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach but she ignored it and kept looking for some booze.

She was about to yell to Emir that the only things she found were some lonely looking beers in the fridge but she stopped before any words escaped her mouth. She held the two beers by their necks and looked at the caps, a cynical smile on her lips.

Raine would feel a tap on the shoulder...if she turned around, she would see Alevon holding out a bottle of strong vodka and a pair of glasses to her

"Mmmmm...but I don't want to..."
He says

"...unless...you want me to..."
He adds, quietly

Alevon sighs and gently wraps his arms around her again
"...I won't leave you again, TK..."

"...not for good, anyway."
He adds very seriously and quietly, he seemed to be thinking of something when he said it

Emir was staring at the ceiling, deep in thought. He never wanted to talk about his past again, even to TK.

Alevon seems to choke a little and looks away, deep in thought

"...something I need to tell you...but I'm not sure if I should...for your sake..."

He closes his eyes

He lowers his head
"...are you certain?"

Raine walked back to Emir's room and she opened the door in a swift motion. She walked in and set the beers she had found on the night table. She cracked one open and drank deeply. She licked her lips and said with a mischievous smile, "Only think I could find was beer."

"Good enough, didn't expect them to get anything expensive." Emir said, getting a beer and popping with only his finger nail.

"So tell me about your story, since I had to tell about mine in a some kind of crying coma." He asked, drinking the beer and smiled.

Alevon takes a breath before replying:
"...your sister never came back, TK...what you saw was an illusion made by the master minds....I even used my abilities to sense her...and she wasn't there...I'm sorry...please don't fret anymore..."
He holds her tightly

Alevon does the choke again
"...that too, was an illusion..."

"...he'll never forget about you, TK..."
Holding her tightly still

Raine drank again from the bottle and she had a grim smile on her face.

"Well, when I got my powers when I was younger, I was already doing drugs and drinking myself silly at parties. I ran away from home cause my folks didn't really care about me. Well, they said that they care about me but I know it's just bull." She paused to take another drink.

"Then I dropped out of highschool, not the best thing to do I guess, but I kinda got taken in by this... guy, and well, he taught me all I'd need to know 'cause he went to university," she paused again, swallowing the lump in her throat, "and yeah, I met Ariel around the same time, we became friends, the guy died so I've been with Ariel ever since." She eneded the last part quickly, quickly clamping the beer bottle to her mouth and drinking it dry. She then held the bottle between both of her hands and stared at the floor with a crazed smile on her face.

"No, Samuel is real...your sister, and Emir's sister...were illusions..."
He says

"Not really action-packed eh?" Emir asked, chuckling as he slowly drinks his beer.
