Fragility of the Mind

Alevon says, holding her tighter

"...indeed, the forest is beautiful"

Alevon smiles, holding her warmly

"No... no, no, never!" the tail end of her sentence ended with a slight shriek. She then clamped her hand over her mouth and she cautiously walked over to him.

"Is it... really you?" There was so much false hope in her tone that Raine pitied herself. She sounded so sick with emotion that she just wanted to go jump out of a ten floor building to her end.

"If that is what you wish"

"No, no, no!" Raine shrieked as she dashed forward but was met with nothing. She slammed into an end table in the main room and it crashed to the ground, along with Raine. She slammed her fists on the floor, a dull rage taking over her body. She started shaking, grabbing her hair at the root, in fist-fulls. She let out an ear piercing wail that could probably be heard throught the whole base.

Raine just curled into a ball, tightening her hold on her hair as she pitifully whispered, "Don't go, don't go..." over and over. Raine wasn't usually a person who was able to be rattled easily but whenever it came to Jon he defences just dropped and she was vulnerable. She hated that about herself.

TK suddenly felt warm as Alevon leaned back and positioned her to sit on his lap with his arms wrapped around her (the warmth is being induced, not coming from his body heat...it's like the headache thing)

(LOL thats so not what we're doing. Uh, by the way....how are we gonna do that with Raine having a fit?)

TK tapped Alevon's arm once, "We should head back...after what happened with Tia...I think its best we don't stray away from each other too long..." and with that, she teleported with him back into the base, in the spot she always did, the main room.

TK blinked twice when she immediately spotted Raine and was about to throttle her until she saw what was really going on. TK teleported out of Alevon's grip and at Raine's side, "Easy there..." she whispered. TK wrapped her arms around Raine, stating, "You better not have been on that shit again."

Raine felt TK's arms around her but she barely registered anything else. She continued to rock back and forth, hands locked in her hair. She then turned swiftly, grabbing TK's shoulders as if holding onto her for dear life.

"He left.. why did he have to leave? He would never leave me..." She repeated phrases similar to those as she just strayed deeper into her destructive state.

Ariel groaned as she lay an arm across her face, not wanting to get out of bed. She sighed and stared at the ceiling, thinking back to the night before. So much had happened that it was enough to make her head spin. The fight with Tia, finding out Alevon was actually alive, the kiss...

She shook her head. She didn't need her thoughts to stray to things that weren't of importance at the moment. She sighed again.

"Maybe I should talk to her," Ariel mumbled to herself.

Gabrielle ran into the main room as soon as she heard her shriek. She wondered when Emir would wake up realizing he had pretty much ditched his 'guests'. She'd have time to ask him about the 'porn', too...

"Raine! What happened?" she asked as she knelt down near TK, her shoulder actually pushing hers away a little, not deliberately.

Raine looked at Gabrielle as she knelt beside TK. Raine just looked at her wide eyed as she struggled with her words.

"He wouldn't leave me, he would never do that to me again!" She then wrapped her arms around her middle tightly, hanging her head and her platinum blonde hair fell across her face.

Alevon walks up to Raine and kneels beside TK, looking at Raine
"Shhhhhh...Raine, calm down....you're under the influence of a mind-altering effect...please snap out of it..."

...I told you I'd help you if you stopped bothering my friends...

Gabrielle shook her head strongly towards Alevon, not caring who he really was at the current moment. "It isn't drugs, man, I was with her just moments ago."

Ariel heard the ruckus outside and grumbled to herself about getting up. She had to eventually though, so she decided that now would be the perfect time. She sat up and yawned, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She trudged out of bed and walked around till she found herself in the main room. She saw mostly everyone in there, huddled around Raine. She swallowed, running over there in an instant.

"Hey, guys, what happened?" she asked quite loudly, her voice thick with worry.

"I know it's not a mind affecting drug, I know what it is and who is causing it...we need to try to convince her that it isn't real"

...I thought we had a deal...

Raine's body went rigid and her eyes took on a feral appearance. Her head snapped up and she practically glared at Alevon.

"He is real," she wailed, piteously, her fists were shaking.

"Just the way he talked... Oh, God, Ariel, it's him, no one else could talk to me like that." She looked over at Ariel with wide eyes before putting her hands on either side of her head, as if to hold her skull together, and her eyes turned to glare daggers at the floor.

"Who has him Alevon," she whispered, after a moment of dull silence. There was controlled rage in her tone and she just continued to stare at the floor, attempting to contain her emotions.

Emir was walking out of his room, yawning. He looked at the group and at Raine.

"Mmmm....What's going on?"
