Fragility of the Mind

Raine was about to refuse, her pessimistic mood starting to show in her actions but she quickly changed her mind. Causing grief at this moment in time wouldn't do any good.

She walked over to Ariel and Tia, opened a portal directly beside them and walked through first, stepping into the base. She looked at everyone present with a cool gaze, not saying anything as she leaned against the nearest wall, examining her nails out of boredom.

Ariel quietly thanked her friend and stepped through the portal. She made it into the main room where everyone else was. Slightly hunched over and tired looking, she walked towards a couch and gently placed Tia onto one of them, stepping away and sighing.

Ryan is now in the base as well, giving Raine a rather displeased look

...no, don't start a fight...not now...you know better...

Then, seeing TK punch her,
"...heh...well then"

With a blank face Raine stared at TK. She stepped forward so that their noses were almost touching and she twisted her face in an ugly snarl. She grabbed TK's hair, yanking it to the side before she could do anything and hissing in her ear like a cat enraged.

"Bitch and complain all you want, but not at me, I don't want to be your personal punching bag." She stepped away from TK, sliding further down the wall. She didn't know why she was punched but she got hit harder on the streets. The punch felt just like a bug bite to her, annoying and useless.

Ryan is now next to Raine, suddenly, with a spire of ice to her temple...a look of a killer in his eyes
"Enough"

Ariel turned her head and noticed the ruckus. She strode over to Ryan and yanked the ice away, melting it. She glared at him.

"Don't go near her," she snarled.

Ryan facepalms
"Why are you defending her? ...after how she's been treating you?"
Another one forms, back at her temple

Raine shrieked in fury and grabbed TK by the throat, cancelling out her powers and that pitiful little vacuum. She had thrown TK to the ground and had her pinned on her stomach, in a blood choke. TK would soon feel herself fading from consciousness.

"You lowly, bitch, don't you dare touch me again or I will throw you into a portal that will take you to Limbo."

She then let go of TK, letting her breathe again and looked at Ryan, "Oh, and try doing that again and I'll throw you in too, I touch you and your powers are gone."

Before anything else could go wrong she opened a portal, jumped through it and closed it just as quickly, she ended up outside a few miles out in the snow. She cursed, shivering.

*btw tasha, when you're pinned on your stomach, in a blood choke, you're kinda toast, so : P don't try to wriggle out ! raine has you xD*

Before she could open the portal, she is sucked into a portal leading into space itself.
The portal closes.

Ryan waits a moment, and presses a button on the wrist-pad, making time reverse to back to when Raine was in the room.

"Touch her again, and that is permanent."
he says, staring into her eyes with a look of the grim reaper himself

NVM UGH RAGE.

Raine laughs, "you think you're so high and mighty, I can create portals too." And she turned to TK, "I don't care if I can't hurt you, cancelling out your powers and making you a useless wreck just makes me slightly happier than I am."

(actually no, Angel, it really did happen before Raine left, I you can confirm it with Best...and you don't have to edit it)

"You damn idiots," Ariel muttered. She shoved Ryan away, sending him a death glare as she grabbed both Raine and TK and dragged them off.

"What the hell is wrong with you both?" she demanded.

"I can't really do anything, you ass, what do you expect me to do? Magically pull a rabit out of my ass and poof! make things better? And if you really knew me you'd know that when I don't have anything to do I play with my nails." She didn't sound bitter or worked up, just neutral, having a blank expression on her face.

Ryan was infuriated
"You have the ability to nullify powers! Just as you did to TK. Why could you not do that to Tia, you lazy, inconsiderate b*tch!"

"If I tried to get close enough she would have killed me." Raine just stared at him, not moving from her spot. She then smiled slyly, "Oh, and if you want to insult me, please use a word other than the generic 'bitch,' it's been used too many times on me."

Suddenly being attacked in a hug by TK made the blank mask on Raine's face crack. Her eyes widened.

"K, you've lost me, first I get socked in the face and now a hug and a favour? I'm not a genie and a punching bag you know," she ended with a joke.

"Are you daft, woman? You can create portals. Just make one in front of you and one behind her, and tap her on the shoulder for f*ck's sake."
Ryan shakes his head and the ignorant child, his patience rubbing thin

"I'm not the Hulk, I can't exactly push her into the portal. maybe next time you can make yourself useful to me and do that? Instead of blaming all of this just on me." She frowned, clearly disappointed.

Ariel stared at her two friends, at a loss for words. She was going to set them both straight for behaving so childishly, though she felt that now it wasn't needed. She wanted to tell Ryan straight what was going on with Raine; his childishness annoying her greatly.

"Her powers can't work on everyone!" she nearly shouted. She took a breath and said more calmly, "If she tried to do that with Tia she would have been torn to shreds. Sometimes her powers can't help." Suddenly feeling more drained than ever, she leaned against the wall, holding her head. Then she trudged over to her room and shut the door.

Ryan facepalms
"...put your OWN hand through the portal!"
His patience is almost gone...he begins to wonder if leaving her in the vaccum of space was best for the team now

Hearing Ariel, he says:
"...then pick up a gun, you worthless brat."
He storms off to his room and phases through the door
