TK forced a smile on her face as she did her best to grip her best friend's hand, "Okay" she replied sweetly.

Nicole arrived and waved at everyone, oblivious to what TK said to Leana.

"Hey, Sis....How's it going?" She asked, standing near the bed.

TK looked up at Nicole and replied, "Better since everyone is coming to keep me up" she grinned weakly. "I hate resting..." she murmured.

"Why? You need it....you seem to be completely exhausted." Nicole said with an worried tone. "Hopefully Videor is taking care of you yes?" She asked, looking at Videor.

TK only replied, "Shhh...you're giving him ideas."

Nicole simpered, patting TK's hair. "Fine, I'll leave you alone with Videor and your friend then...." She looked at Leana, quirking her brow.

TK grinned, "You can stay" she insisted, "This is my childhood best friend Leana and Ariel. Split personality but both are my best friends for ever" TK sounded very cheery as she said that, "And this is Udo" she nodded to the man sitting next to Leana.

TK fell slump for a moment before she eased herself back upright. TK was fighting her haggardness. "LeeLee, Udo, this is my sister Nicole" she managed to say and closed her eyes as her breathing became slow and unsteady.

Videor smiled as he started to lightly stroke her hair, not saying a word, as he knew she'd soon fall asleep and get the rest she rightfully deserves.

TK opened her eyes partially as she looked at Udo, "I'm glad you're on the team. Be careful with using so much of your power without thinking things through, there are side effects. Side effects like my headaches, numbness of my body, things like that..."

TK then looked at Leana, "If you guys plan to fight Grim, you need to go with Raine. The blood is attracted to heat...it needs to go somewhere cold, all of the blood needs to go...somewhere really cold where cold never fades...."

A tear drop trickled down her cheek, "I couldn't protect those innocent people...their blood was crying..." she whispered. TK inevitably passed out with the tear streaked along her pale face. Her breathing was light and and belated still.

Leana nodded to Nicole, saying, "Nice to meet ya." Then she turned to TK and asked, "Who's the Raine chick?"

TK mumbled almost inaudibly through her sleep, "A friend of Ari who became a friend of ours. You'll know her when you see her, she has a big foul mouth though I find that to be a nice quality of the young lady..."

Leana smirked and looked away.

"I think I'll like this girl," she said to herself. "I need to speak to her soon..." Then she looked at Videor. "I need to talk to you about something."

Udo remained silient, but nodded kindly when TK introduced him to Emir's sister, Nicole was her name. After recieving due warning from her about the side-effects of Alpha abilities.
Udo patted the top of his petrified knee with a smirk before speaking.
"I know it will kill me one day, but don't worry. I don't plan on becoming a gaudy stone decoration any time soon." He laughed before standing. "Now, I've had a rather exhausting day. I believe I will find a place to sleep for the night."

He smiled at TK and Videor, hoping she would follow his example and let herself sleep as well. He told Nicole he was pleased to meet her and gave Leana a cordial nod before leaving the main room. There were several unused rooms throughout the complex. The trick was finding one he could alter to a bedroom.

TK's eyes snapped open from fear of Udo's remark and called out to Udo before he left the room entirely. "Udo Weber wait!" She said, trying to crawl out of bed but only made it as far as touching the bed with both her hands. "Please don't say you'll die, as a comrade I wish not to hear of things like that!" She pleaded.

TK looked down at the bed covers and said, "I had a good friend named Saul...he was killed before he even got a second chance...he was trying to make things right and was killed by Al-" TK paused and started shaking a bit. "Udo..." her voice cracked as she called his name. It was taking every ounce of strength TK had just to call out to him.

Udo tuned back. He smiled as if there was no burden in the world that could change it.
"I've come to terms with this. It took a long time for my leg to become stone like this; It will be some time before it threatens my life."

He wanted it to be the truth, but in reality he had no way of knowing which cells would petrify; which part or even parts of him would begin to give in to the altered DNA within. It could easily be something vital that goes next. He still didn't even know the true nature of it or what caused it; all he knew was that only weeks after he had turned sixteen, he could control stone as if it were another limb.

At first, Udo was elated with his power, and quickly mastered control through many trips with his orphanage to the beaches in Denmark. He had many treasured memories of those sands. He could build sand castles with the blink of an eye. He could block the tides from washing too close and destroying his work. Then, he felt joy, but it wouldn't last. Only a few months after he'd began playing with his newly found skill, the first signs began. Grey, callous, skin was replacing the soft warm skin on his feet and was spreading up his leg a little more each day. He was forced to stop. Few things made Udo happy as a child, and he was forced to stop.

He walked back over to TK and took her hand. He knew who she was talking about; he knew the name she had stopped her self from saying.
"Our lives are a gift, no matter how short they are. Your memories of Saul, they are a gift from him to all he cared for. I'll die, but it won't be the end. I'll live on through everyone I was fortunate to know. In that way, I won't die. None of us can."

TK glared at him, "You're not dying on us any time soon!" She said and fell forward, losing her balance. "I'll find you help...I'll find you help..." she whispered. TK pulled herself up as if she were crawling up Udo and rested her head on his shoulder. "As a rival of Kate...I won't allow you to talk nonsense anytime soon..." She said.

Udo's eyes widened for a moment as TK toppled over and pulled her self up on him. He threw his arm out to help support her as she did so. She put her head on his shoulder; Udo just sighed, both in relief she hadn't flopped on her face just now and in relief her head rested on his shoulder and she felt comfortable enough to do so. She might just fall asleep there, in which case, solves a worry several in the room already shared.
Kate? He hadn't heard the name yet. Never mind, no more nonsense.

Still, who can fix this? He thought about his leg. He was sceptical that it would be possible. Sure, Udo had seen first hand that limbs, such as a severed finger, can be regenerated, but in his case would replacing the leg truly fix the problem? A new limb or vital organ only adds time; only adds more healthy tissue to destroy. It was his DNA that would have to change. Either that, or he would need the DNA of another person; strands that wouldn't be affected by the degeneration.

"No more nonsense talking..." she whispered. As TK fell asleep once more, in hope that Udo would be safe, she started breathing faintly again, but enough to let everyone know she was alive. Udo would then smell an exquisite smell of the forest emanating from her very skin and her hair as she was close enough for him to pick that, what became an everyday scent for TK, up.

Udo glanced down at her without moving as he caught the now easily distinguishable aroma. He shut his eyes and smiled.
Ah, Schwartzwald.¹ He thought as images of Duetschland, images of home, flooded his mind.
He heard as well as felt TK breathing next to him. After another glance to confirm it, he concluded she finally slept. He was subtle in his movements as he gently lifted her head off his shoulders and supported her weight as he layed her back in her bed. He slid the covers over her more completly before stepping back from the bed with a nod.

It was hard to tell considering her current condition, but TK was finally sleeping happily, feeling as if she was successful finally that day. The locket that Videor had given her seemed as though it were smiling for her as Udo covered her up.

Videor just watched TK, aiding her at the appropriate times before saying,"Thank you Udo. What is it you needed Leana?"

Alevon walks with Maya back to the main room, and noticing all the voices coming from TK's room, he goes to her doorway
"We'll be heading off then, we'll be back in about a day. I will purchase a cell phone, so you all may contact me if need be. I'll text TK when I get it."

"Anytime" Udo replied to Videor before turning to Alevon.
"Where are you going?" Before Alevon had a chance reply, Udo continued. "May I go? At least until I can find an outlet store." He gestured to his clothing, which were a tattered and dingy shell of the slacks and t-shirt they used to be. He wanted to find a pay-phone or perhaps purchase one of his own as well; It was time to talk to Ralf.
