also: for some reason, Emilie is having an increasingly-difficult time connecting to my home internet. This annoys me greatly

This is kinda cool, but also kind of squicky (you have been warned)

a guy my dad knows went in for an eye exam and the doctor realized that one of the veins in the eye had moved. this is usually a sign that something is behind the eye, pushing it out of the way (thing i didn't know #1)

they did a CT scan and found a tumor growing from the pituitary gland pushing on the eye

Apparently what they usually do in a case like this is pop the eyeball out (they can do that- cool), perform the tumor removal surgery through the eye socket, and put they eyeball back in place (veeery cool)

Don't you just love it when your grandmother has been in and out of the hospital for a week

and NO ONE bothered to tell you

and the only reason you found out at all is because you happened to be the one to pick up the phone and hear your grandfather say that your grandmother just collapsed in the living room

Sarcasm aside, my grandmother is okay, at least. She just tripped on a rug in the living room and my grandfather couldn't get her back on her feet on his own

So, I turned Emilie on to check tumblr this morning, and left under the impression that she was in sleep mode

I come home after work to discover that she is, in fact, still on, so I can only presume that she has been running at full all day long
