Fragility of the Mind

TK was immediately at Angela, hugging her tightly and smiled at Tyler. "Hey old man" she grinned, and then said to Angela, "Anomalously magnificent!!! But that's just an understatement" she chuckled as she let go of her.

Gabrielle knew she couldn't exactly go back to before she asked, so she just looked down and reached out to grab Ariel's hand. "It's ok, Ariel. I care about you, too."

She sighed lightly. "I'm sorry."

"You look great Angela, like always." Emir smiled at her, getting the letter from the "mailman"and begin to read.

Ariel glanced at their hands, and then at Gabrielle. Slowly she shifted her hand so it held onto Gabrielle's in a firm yet gentle grip. It hurt to think of how her other disappeared and left her, it angered her even, though she didn't want that to ruin her time here.

"It's alright," Ariel said quietly. Then she offered a small smile. "I almost forgot what it felt like to be like this with someone," she said, slightly stroking Gabrielle's hand with her fingers.

"Uhhh, hopefully this trip El's requesting us is for tomorrow...." Emir said, rereading the letter.

TK looked at Emir wearily and said, "I hope El is alright."

"hopefully, Unless he dies in the toilet after his last show." Emir, rolling his eyes.

Emir followed suit, putting his arms on his head.

"Shall we go, or Akihiro's gonna eat all the hotdogs again?" He asked, walking outside with TK.

Gabrielle edged closer to Ariel and put her free hand over their hands gently. She seemed to look over her head, but suddenly her gaze darted to the ceiling and upon Mike's face. She opened her mouth as if to speak, but only a surprised sigh escaped.

"H-Hey Mike, what are you doing here?" she asked, like she was embarassed.

"Whatever you say sis." Emir smiled, kissing his sister on the cheek, walking to his car and began to open the hood of his car.

Ariel's head snapped up and she turned to look where Gabrielle was looking. Sure enough, Mike's head was seemingly poking out of the ceiling; he had been spying on them. Ariel felt slightly embarrassed at being watched during such a private moment. She swiftly, though reluctantly, took her hand back and stood up.

"Nice to see you again, Mike," Ariel said flatly, her eyes narrowing. She was upset that her moment with Gabrielle was ruined, but she would have plenty of time to talk to her.

"I'm going back to check on Raine, make sure she stays out of trouble," she mumbled. Though she flashed Gabrielle a quick smile and grazed her hand against her arm before leaving the room.

"maybe it's THAT important." Emir said, closing the hood of his Aston Martin and wiped his hands together.

"Besides, I wanna try this baby out!" He looked at his car, He repaired it to it's normal state, except tuning it for shorter gears for faster acceleration, a lighter chassis and much more.

Emir laughed, leaning on the roof of the car with his shoulder.

"Well, I'll go to the base with this baby, gonna see it's potential on those long roads." He said, winking.
